[SIZE=12pt]I have been under a lot of stress these last 2 weeks because we've been moving. Last night I was really emotional and totally worn out. This afternoon I started....bleeding. It was only a little bit, but I wiped, and wiped and wiped again and all 3 times there was bright, red fresh blood. :(

It was only a little and I didn't know what to do. I came home from my conference (I was at a teacher's conference all day) and decided to wait and see what happens. It has stopped for now. But I was very scared.

Chris (DH) is 7 hours away because he got a new job in Massachusetts. He only comes home on the weekend. He told me today that I need to call my dr. first thing in the morning. What is all of your opinion?

I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. When I started bleeding last time I came home showered and went the the ER. They did an u/s there so I was not left wondering what was wrong.

If the bleeding has stopped get off your feet the best you can and try to relax and yes call the Dr asap in the am. If the bleeding startes again go to the ER.

I hope its nothing. Lots of prayers!

I agree with the pp - stay off your feet as much as possible and try to relax. I know it's easier said than done - but trust me - you need to.
You definitely call your and mention it to him/her. If it happens again, then you should go in and see the doctor.

Try and relax and I hope everything is okay. :hug99:

I too bled a little today. I started the whole bleeding thing in the first trimester this pregnancy but always following intercourse. I think the raise in my heart rate and the sensitivity of my cervix causes it. The docs can't find any reason at all. They've run tests, checked everything out - I'm totally normal. They think I just have a soft cervix that thankfully isn't dialating. I am trying to not get too worried about today's episode because it happened for the same reason it did the last three times and I was fine then. I am however going to need to really take it easy and I recommend you do the same. Stay hydrated and relax. As long as you don't see blood clots and as long as you aren't leaking fluids or having regular contractions, the doctors have told me that there isn't a real emergency. (you have to also rule out infection or STD's).

You should definitely call your DR. and let them know. They'll do an u/s and run some tests. Monitor the baby's HR.. etc. Then they'll tell you "pelvic rest" until you figure out what's up.

    Best of luck!

Hopefully you just overdid it a bit. Moving is a big pain even when you aren't pregnant. I hope everything is ok!

I really hope everything is OK now!!!! It has been a day since you posted!

I bled like that when I was 13 weeks preggo with the twins...I was terrified that I was losing the babies so I rushed to the ER. I ended up having a sub-chorionic hemmorage. The ER Dr's said it was something that sometimes happens in pregnancy and that I should not worry. Basically it is a pocket of blood that builds up around the chorionic sac. They told me that I would still bleed for a few days...at first it would continue to be alot of red blood...then taper down in quantity and be more brownish (older blood). I was on bedrest for a a couple weeks then I was fine. I haven't had this with any other pregnancies.

I hope everything turns out OK. Please keep us posted!! :hug99:

Well, I called and since it had stopped very soon after it had started and I hadn't had any bleeding all night and into the morning, the dr. said that I was ok and that I needed to rest.

I went to my conference and came home and no more bleeding. Maybe it was just a fluke. I was worried because about this same time with the twins I was put on bedrest and had a cerclage.

But I'm ok. Thanks for all of your words of advice and concern.

    Hugs,

    Bridget

Bridget, are they going to do a cerclage this time since you had one with the twins? If not, make sure they keep a very careful watch on your cervix.

[SIZE=12pt]My dr. says no cerclage this time, but every time I go in she checks my cervix and I always say, "are you sure? Can you check it again?"

I'm feeling pretty good right now. I think I'm over the scare.
