I'm feeling lazy, so here's the post from my blog. I really can't believe how well it went!

I am happy to report that night #1 in the big boy beds was a total success! I'm not naive enough to believe it will be like this every night (or at naptime), but I'm relieved they did a great job. The beds are a LOT higher than we imagined and I'll be searching for some two step stepstools this weekend. But, Jake seems to have mastered getting out of the bed safely and Ryan sits on the edge and waits for help (after he fell once on his behind). Our comforters are still in NC awaiting our arrival and I have yet to hang things on the wall so the room is not it's cute self yet, but I'll post pics of that later this summer when we return from NC. So when we put the boys to bed last night Ryan climbed in to the bed where Jake used to sleep and vice versa. I usually keep Ryan on the side by the door b/c it takes him longer to fall asleep and I can check on him w/out me seeing. I'm going to try and get them to switch back tonight, but am not going to hang their names up until I know which bed is whose! When we said good night to the boys, Jake was snuggled up and happy and Ryan was giggling like he was getting away with something. There was the usual quick cry as we left the room, but that was it. Total silence after that. An hour later I checked on them and Ryan was still stirring. That means he laid in bed awake w/out trying to get out. I'm very impressed.

Oh yeah, they have been obsessed with their old Boppies (the things to use while feeding or learning to sit) and have insisted on sleeping with them for weeks now. We used them to help the bed transition instead of pillows.

I just checked on them after putting them down for a nap and Ryan was wrestling with Jake. Just as I figured nap time isn't going to be easy! Hopefully tonight will be good. Thank you for all the well wishes. It's so scary and a bit sad seeing my "babies" in those big beds!

Last night was great again! Naptime wore me thin though. Ryan fell asleep after only a 30 min fight, but I had to put Jake in the Pack N Play. Ryan was asleep and he kept laughing and wanting to climb into his bed. Oh well, at least the night is good!

Wow, I am impressed. I can't imagine my girls doing that well when they get to be your boys age. It is nice to hear of great transition to big beds.
