I know its normal to be having BH. Up until this point I had only noticed one or 2 randomly. Then I noticed one last night when I went to go to the bathroom. well I have been having them on & off all afternoon! They didn't start until an hour after I drank about 16oz or water & laid down in bed on my left side to rest. They didn't hurt but I could feel a little in my lower muscles... thats what made me think to feel my stomach & sure enough it was hard!! Well I had a few on & off for about 15 minutes then nothing for over an hour & now I got up to eat & they are randomly happening. Earlier when it was happening inbetween the girls would move around a bit.

I know BH are normal, but my stomach is ALL out front, so when it gets hard it hurts for me to be sitting & its annouying.

Anyways I just drank 2 big glasses of water & sent DH & DS out for a bit... so I am going up to lay down again. But I was curious when to know what is to much? I mean I am a little freaked that I went form once every few weeks to on & off for over 4 hours?

I was told to call if I was having more than 5 in 1 hour. Drink lots of water...and then drink some more! And rest! [IMG]

I've been having daily BH since about your week -- usually randomly through the day, then in the evening between about 6-8pm I get about 3 an hour. I had one night where I got 4+ an hour, then they slowed down (lots of water, a bath, and venting to my husband about work). That day I had gotten too stressed out at work and hadn't drank enough water. I had an appointment the day after and they checked my cervix and it was fine. I guess I fully expect to have them daily from here on out - no one seems to upset by that, as long as they aren't more than 4/hour.

Try not to stress! And drink LOTS of water.

I called my OB about this very thing this afternoon. For the past couple of days I have been getting 1-3 an hour all day. It's better if I am laying down and have an empty bladder. That's hard when I have to drink so much water though, as my bladder never seems to be empty!

Anyway, my doctor was not concerned at all. She said that it's totally normal for this stage in a twin pregnancy. Rest as much as possible and drink lots of water. She said if I started getting more than 4 an hour to go to labor and delivery to get checked out.

    I am 27 weeks 2 days now.

Sounds like you are doing exactly what you should, hydrating and resting. If you have more than 4-6 in an hour, call your doc. Otherwise, it sounds fairly normal. Just mention it to your doc at your next visit.

That sounds pretty normal. My peri explained that if you are having more than four an hour for more that a couple hours strait then you should call. The other thing is I wouldn't count the ones you get if you roll over or get up suddenly. I started getting a lot more around 26-27 weeks.

That's abotu when i started getting them more oftem as well. Like said previously, if they start happeneing 5 times in on hour, i would call. Other than that, sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the ride...honestly, i guess it's just yoru body practicing...what my dr. told me. Good Luck and relax and put your feet up, drink water, keep doin waht your doin..
