BH question? and worrying!

Well today is a bad day for me and since about 7 or 8 this morning I've been having BH off and on. Normally i only have about 1 and hr and im taking 2.5mg of terbutaline every 4hrs and it doesnt seem to be helping. In the last hour or so Ive been having them every 25min. Im going to go lay down and try to relax as well as im doubling my water intake right now trying to get them back to normal. my question is how long do you gals BH last?? mine last about 3-5min then about 20min later I have another one. I thought it was gas but i went #2 (sorry if tmi) and they are still going. I am thinking i will rest a bit and see if they slow down a bit but i can tell today is different than regular BH days. When would you call the Dr and check hat to do?? I have being overly protective and scared always wanting to go to the hospital and then its nothing so im not sure what to do?? I will be back on later today to see what u ladies say, im going to try to rest for a bit. thanks ladies

 

If you are still having them pretty consistently, I would call your OB. :hug99:

 

If you are having them regularly and they are lasting that long- I would call- this could really change your cervix!!!

 

If they continue definetly call. Don't be afraid of going for nothing, thats the best case scenario! About 5 hours before my twins were born I got to the hospital and right before I laid on the bed I aplogized for wasting their time and told them "its probably nothing". I was 5cm and 50%. So I keep telling everyone now...GO even when you aren't sure. The stress alone from worrying if they are the real thing is not good for you either!

 

thank u all very much, they have slowed down a little bit because i was taking a nap and they didnt wake me up (but doesnt mean i didnt have them) ive been up now for about 15min and had a very small one. i told myself more than 4 in a hr and havent hit that yet so hoping not to, but who knows i may be making a trip to l & D later tonight or tomorrow if this keeps up tomorrow. thanks ladies and anyone else with advise i would love it ;-)

also ive notice the babies are moving as much today, does that happen with frequent BH? they move a little butnot as much as usual???

 

When does your doctor say to call? I was having 6+ an hour and was told to call anytime I have 6 per hour and they don't go away with rest and water...they haven't affected my cervix though. Your doctor should give you a limit after which you at least call in to discuss. It's so stressful when you don't know what's going on. I would call your OB and just talk it over for peace of mind You're on terbutaline so you must have had some previous contraction issues?
