can bf make aunt flo MUCH heavier? My twins are 16 months old and I did not have a period until they were 13 months old which was so nice! BUT now that it has returned, it is much heavier and worse than EVER! I bf and don't know if that is why?or maybe if it is because I had a c-section and my uterus is mad at my scar? or what but I do know that I cannot go on like this!

    TIA
    Heather

I am not sure, I would say if it is super heavy or last a long time to call OB just to be safe.

    Heather,

My first few months back were ridiculously heavy...I was concerned enough to mention it to my gyn at my annual visit. He didn't seem overly concerned and the last couple of months have been more manageable.

I think it's probably partly just because of going so long without one. But it may not hurt to give your gyn a call anyway.

Mine just came back too. I've noticed I am more crampy than I use to be and it is heavier :( :(

Mine came back at 14 months (I weaned a month later) that was over two years ago and since then it has been EXTREMELY heavy--but short, like it just all comes out in two days. My gyn said it had something to do with curvical changes. In my case I've had no other smyptoms, apart from extreme impatience the day or two before my period.

Mine was heavier for the first few months, but then it got back to normal. It was really, really heavy, to where it was a problem to leave the house because I'd just go through tampons too fast. Now it's fine, though, like it always was.

It may not be bf, it might just be your body after twins. Unfortunately the same thing happened to me after having my twins. It was ridiculously heavy...we're talking I couldn't even wear a heavy pad for more than an hour... forget tampons... couldn't go anywhere... my solution...well, I went back on the pill for awhile...but then I got headaches from that...so we decided it was time for another baby! Problem solved for 9months + ?? months bfing... LOL!! I'm hoping my body will be like new after I stop bfing this one!! LOL!
