My twins will be turning two in a month and a half and I'm researching gift ideas. The thought is either one big gift(outdoor playhouse, trainset) or a few smaller ones (easel, some toys, etc...) Any recommendations for either? Thank you!

We asked our family to go in on outdoor toys. My SIl's got them a step 2 slide (naturally playful big folding slide) and my sisters got them a step 2 teeter totter and they also got a picnic table.

I'd go for the outdoor stuff. Just remember that in a few years they will be wanting larger sized outdoor stuff. Maybe something that is a bit larger for later on ?? I'm just thinking you don't want your backyard full of the same aged toys. At this age I'm big into buying second hand stuff -- they dont' know any different and a good habit for them to get into. "Something old" "Something new" for your birthday just like a wedding... hehe

My kids love all of the outdoor toys - swingset, playhouse, sandbox, etc, but honestly... the best 2 year old presents were stickers and kid sized scissors.

We don't have a lot of room for outdoor toys but my two love their bubble lawn mower, the easel was a big hit, as was a play kitchen, My Pal Scout and Violet were also big hits too.

I think all the ideas are great! My girls love their outdoor playhouse but also love their easel, art supplies, etc. Could you pass off some ideas to aunts/uncles/grandparents? If not, maybe save the easel, etc. for Christmas present ideas since that's basically inside stuff? Have fun shopping!!

Mine will turn 2 in two weeks & we're getting them outside stuff. After being cooped up all winter, I'm planning on us being outside as much as possible this Spring & Summer!!
