Hi Ladies! I'm having the girls party at a children's gym facility and not sure what time to have it. It's not until July but I need to book it now. I have no clue what their nap time will be at that point! Right now they sleep from about 1-3pm.

    Thanks for your help!!

I would think that the girls will still most likely take a nap- so I would aim for after nap: 3-4:30. THen you do not have to feed a meal and the girls will be rested.

THe other option would be before nap (10- 11:30 Sunday) but then they may be too wound up to nap and/or you may need to serve a meal or run late & get into naptime.

Simple was better for us...the girls did not eat at thier party (much) they were WAY too excited so we did snack foods and lots of playtime (and had it after nap so they had time to wind down before bed)

But do what works for you and you could always try to switch times if you need to later.

For my girls' birthday parties we alway did it around dinner time. That leaves you their naptime to get everything ready and they will be well rested and not very grumpy at their party.

I would suggest Sunday from 4-5:30. It may get you out of serving a meal, if not just serve something light. A sunday because that way if people have weekend plans, they can still do them and make your party too! :) Naptime for your kids should be in the afternoon like from 1-3. (approx) I woudl think. That way they can have their nap, you can feed them a snack & get to the facilities all happy.

We just had the boys 2y bday party. We had it from 10-12 on a Saturday. I served lunch at 11:00 and cake right afterwards. By the time we got home it was major nap time!!! They slept for hours - they were so worn out!

I scheduled 1st and 2nd birthdays for after naptime so I'd pick Sunday 4-5:30 if I were you. They were rested and happy for the party and wound back down again by bedtime. Worked great. I'd offer some healthful snack foods at that time so they don't fill up on cake right before dinner and accept that the snacks may end up being dinner.

I am doing our 2nd b-day party this Saturday from 4-7, but it is here at my house since it is just family.

I like morning party's. I find that when we have to go to afternoon party's the girls want to go and the whole day is a waste. Also different kids nap at different time. So late afternoons run into different kids naps times.

    I agree with Lisa :D

We had the boy's party last year when they turned two before their nap. This way, they had some food in them which kept them up and then once we got home, they were tired and ready for nap anyways!
