Best Linux distro for VPS — Ubuntu or something else?

    Hey community, I’m trying to figure out what Linux distro is truly the “best” for a VPS. A lot of people seem to recommend Ubuntu for its ease of use, but then I also see folks using Debian, CentOS, Fedora, even Arch. My projects are a mix — some web apps, some APIs, maybe a small chat service — nothing too exotic yet. I know Ubuntu is popular, but I’m curious: what are the real trade‐offs? Has anyone switched from another Linux to Ubuntu (or vice versa) on their VPS and felt a difference? How steep was the migration, what broke, what got better?
