Best Jumperoo or Exersaucer?

My boys are almost 5 months old and I was thinking of buying some kind of activity toy. I was going to get the Baby Einstein exersaucer, but then I saw the new Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo. It looks really cool! But is it huge? And maybe too big for my boys' age? Does anyone have it? Do your babies like it or the Exersaucer better? Does the Jumperoo take up a lot more space than the Exersaucer?

We have one baby einstein exersaucer and one Evenflo 3-in-1 exersaucer.....they both LOVE the Evenflo exersaucer b/c it moves up and down when they jump up and down and the baby einstein one doesn't. The evenflo one also has toys that hang above that they can grab at and the baby einstein doesn't...also, one of the parts was recalled on the baby einstein one....they may have already corrected this on the brand new ones....I would definitely get an evenflo exersaucer!!! They started using it at 4 months and still love it at almost 11 months....

 

we've got the rainforest jumparoo and the girls love it. They are still a little small for it, and their feet don't hit the ground solidly enough for them to jump in it yet, but they love to sit in it adn grab stuff and look at teh lights and listen to the music..

 

The rainforest jumperoo saved my sanity! My colicky baby could jump in it all day, he absolutely loves it! Of all our silly baby contraptions it is the best thing we've purchased.

We bought both and exersaucer and a jumperoo, and started them out in them at about 6 months. They loved both of them, but got to where they didn't like the exersaucer at about 10 months, but we are still getting lots of use out of the jumperoo. I suggest getting one of each, but if you only get one get the jumperoo. You'll probably get more use out of it. They are kind of big, but don't take up much more floor space then the exersaucer. HTH!

Our babies have been using both for about a month now. They love them. We bought ours at a garage sale and have been really happy with them. Ours is a Fisher Price Delux Jumperoo and and Evenflo Portable Fun Ultrasaucer.

 

My babies love it, especially my daughter. I have an Exersaucer also, but the Rainforest Jumperoo is the biggest hit. Worth every penny spent!

 

One of my girlfriends IRL just asked me this question today. I have the Jumperoo and while the boys like it...NOTHING can compare to the Evenflo Mega exersaucer we just got from Target for $50. They LOVE that thing! I have the Fisher Price Jumperoo and it is huge and only has the toys right in front of them. I'm not sure about the Rainforest one. I also like that the exersaucer allows them to turn 360 degrees. That way, whoever is in it can watch me move around the room. Lots less crying when they can see me.

And, last but not least, whatever you get, I highly recommend getting something WITHOUT fabric toys on it. The Evenflo Mega has all plastic toys. I saw a few exersaucers over the weekend at garage sales. All I kept thinking was about all the drool those things would accumulate over time. Ewwww! :bad:
