I need your help, what is the best formula for a very colicky baby? I feel so bad for Emily, she is so unhappy and in pain in the evening. She was on Soy, right now we are trying Enfamil Gentlease, she has been on it for almost a week and I am not sure it is helping her. I have tried Mylcon (sp?) drops, don't work and have also tried Gripe water that does not seem to work.
I know it is not suppose to last long but I just feel so bad for her and want to help her, and do not know what else to do for her.

You might want to try Enfamil Nutramigen. Expensive, but it might work. My daughter wasn't colicky, but she had reflux and that formula worked wonders for us.

I would go with a hypoallergenic, such as Nutramigen or Alimentum. Try it for a week to 10 days and see if it makes a difference. :hug99:

My one daughter was on Nutramigen because of colic. We were on WIC, if you are on WIC you can get a note from the ped. and WIC will cover it.

Have you tried Dr Brown bottles? If not, I would try them first without changing the forumla again. Changing formula often is very hard on a babies tummy. Both my twins were colicky and we were giving them Nestle Good Start (which helped) and then changed to Dr brown bottles and the colic was gone in 24 hours. I would give the bottles a shot before changing formula again though....

I dont and did not have colicky babies but Savannah was gassy. I used the sensitive similac it worked better than then gentlease from Enfamil. I use Playtex drop in bottles and they have always done well. I wish you luck...

Our DS was c-o-l-i-c-k-y and had no choice but to go on Alimentum. His reflux and colic settled down dramatically. Hang in there, it will end. Any questions, please PM me! I have tried everything!!!!
