Benefits of hiring a bus with a professional driver instead of driving it yourself

I’m planning a group trip around Germany with some friends, and we’re debating whether to book a bus with a driver or rent one and drive it ourselves. Part of me likes the idea of having more control and flexibility by driving, but the thought of handling a large vehicle is pretty intimidating—none of us have experience with anything bigger than a regular car. I’m wondering if hiring a driver is worth the extra cost or if it’s manageable and safe to handle it on our own. Has anyone else faced this dilemma?

 

I’ve tried both options, and hiring a driver is definitely the better choice, especially when traveling in a new area. Last year, we booked a bus with a driver for a family reunion in Germany, and it made the trip so much more enjoyable. The driver handled all the tricky roads and parking, so we didn’t have to worry about navigation or local traffic rules. We used Hamburg tour bus, and they were excellent. The driver even suggested a few scenic detours that weren’t part of our original itinerary, which added a lot to the experience. If you’re looking for a stress-free trip, I’d definitely recommend going with a driver.
