Has anyone used those belts that support your belly? Did you need it?
I'm in my 33rd week and starting to feel the pressure (forward, not base) after a few hours on my feet. Kind of thinking about getting something...maybe it would just be easier to get some down time?!?

I never purchased one, it seemed when I was pregnant i asked around about it too, and nobody really mentioned that they needed it or liked it. Also it was summer and too hot to have a brace on. I thought of those tube things made all of cotton fabric. I ended up wearing the panel pants which seemed to feel so good at certain times.

I've been asking around, too...and I get that same feeling of no one really needing it. So I guess I'll just kick back and wait (weight) it out!
Oh, the paneled pants! I hope I'll be able to part with them after pregnancy....soooo cumfy!!

I had one and it saved me! I was one that came up to the middle of my back and had a strap across the top as well as under the belly I worked up to 34 weeks (and delieved at 35) and never had any back pain. I started using it around 24 weeks--I not sure if it would be worth it for you now, you're almost there.

I purchased one just last week and am very pleased. It lets me stay comfortable on my feet a lot longer than with out it. The one I got was the Prenatal Cradle: http://www.amazon.com/Prenatal-Cradle-Mini...6/dp/B000I615Q4

I don't have any back or leg pain (at least not yet!), but my stomach ligaments or whatever would get sore - this band has really helped alleviate that discomfort.

I got the prenatal cradle and used it from like 25 weeks on. It really helped the pressure I felt, and it actually helped with contractions too. You can find it at www.prenatalcradle.com.
I would definitely recommend it, it saved my back!

I have 3 different ones. And don't like any of them. I have one that's supposed to be for twins that has straps all over the place including up over my shoulders, that's the worst. Then 2 different ones that just support the belly. One has two straps going around my belly which is very combersome. And the other is just kind of a spandex material that straps around. That's by far the best, but none of them are comfortable or worth the trouble. In my opion, pointless. I think I'll just tough it out.

    Wow...thanks for all the replies.
I've looked into the prenatal cradle...that was the one I was thinking of getting. I'm trying to only get the essentials...advice from many-a-Mom, and if I can survie one more month... and save the money for diapers...I just might. On the other hand, that forward pressure is like nothing I've ever felt (uncomfortable) and the support would be nice. So convincing DH this late in the game (like a pp said) might not fly. He'll just tell me to rest more. But I'm gonna give it a shot!

My midwife said that they regularly write prescriptions for the Prenatal Cradle for their twin moms, so you might want to check and see if your insurance will cover it. I plan to ask about it again at my appt. this week. I haven't felt I needed it until now, but I suddenly feel very heavy (I'm almost 34 wks) and the pressure on my pubic bone is excruciating at times. Good luck!
