    Hi everyone,
This is probably a duplicate post; if so, sorry!

I am wondering what kind of belly/back support garment everyone bought and what you like and dislike about it. Also, when did you find that you started to need it? I'm only 19 weeks, but my back is already starting to bug me. I would like to get some support to see if it helps.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! B)

I was womdering the saem thing. I bought one from motherhood which was a single band that does underneath your belly. It offers some back support but even though it was the right size (I got it fitted in the store) it was uncomfortable being under my stomach everytime I sat down etc. I am still in search of one so I am curious to see what others post. I am also 19 weeks and my back is killing me already.

I am not pregnant anymore and have no intentions of getting pregnant ever again however... I did see this Bella Band on a blog the other day and thought, "What a great idea! I wish they would have had it when I was making babies." I like the lace and the fact that it would extend the use of your wardrobe. I hated when my belly got so big and my shirts were too short.

    Good luck!

(I bought a generic fashion belly band from Mimi Maternity when I got to that inbetween phase, and it didn't suit my longer torso.)

You might ask your docs what they recommend for belly/back support. I was in a maternity store one time when a woman was being fitted for one, and the salesperson told her she ought to ask her doc about the support first. I have no clue why. . .

I got the Babyhugger! It works great and best of all is covered by your health insurance so it's basically free!
Ask your Dr for an Rx! They have an extra band for twins too and it has worked wonders for me!

Oh I feel the same way. Lately between the aches and pains, headaches etc. I have been wondering how I am gonna make it another 4 months. I am gonna check out the babyhugger myself though and see if my insurance will cover it. I am just about the same size I was right before I had my last baby-I am wondering how I can get any bigger. I had horrible back problems before I was pregnant and then they really worsened around 24wks or so especially on days where I am on my feet constantly working as a nurse! I originally went with the single strap support belt from mimi maternity and it worked ok but not that well. I then went online and ordered the prenatal cradle which almost looks like some sort of superhero getup but it really works! It has that same strap under the belly but also suspender straps that are adjustable and offers additional tummy support. I can easily hide it under my clothes and it really has been a lifesaver. Here's what it looks like http://www.prenatalcradle.com/prenatalcradle.htm
It looks really cheesy but it helps!

I used the Especially for Mom belly support from Babies R Us, right up until I delivered (haven't updated my ticker yet, but had the babies on Saturday!). It was amazing, especially as I could wear it at night, and was able to turn over in a couple of turns, rather than my standard six! It was also great in the daytime, but for night, it was invaluable, as it meant I could sleep.

I never needed to use one because I didn't have back pain..... until after they were born.
