A friend of mine gave me a bella band yesterday and its not bad but it doesn't feel like it will be strong enough a few wks from now. I was thinking this one. What one do you ladies recommend?
    TIA

A bella band is not a support band at all. Its more of a fashion piece - so you can unbutton/unzip your pre pregnancy pants and hide it with the bella band.

I have the "mothe.r to be" belly support band and I love it. I got it from amazo.n. I wear it whenever I will be standing for a long time like cooking dinner, cleaning house, grocery shopping etc. Its very adjustable as far as size goes bc you just velcro it wherever you want. I got it around 20 weeks and it still fits me fine and I still have plenty of room on the belt to grow.

Not sure if youre gonna nurse or not but I used my bella bands as tube tops at the hospital to nurse in so that I wasnt completely braless and could just slip it down under my hospital gown and it was more comfy than my nursing bras.

I bought one similiar to that that also has an over the top suppport to "lift" the belly up and is removable. The good thing is that it DID take away some of the pain. the bad thing is, it was making a flat spot on my belly after two days and the babies didn't like it. Whenever I put it on, they started kicking at it. Who knows...but I haven't worn it since and have been ok...still in a little pain but manageable so far. Good luck!

The one you picked out looks good! I had a couple belly bras I liked. Either one will make you feel much better!

This is what I used and where I got it:

I liked it and the sizing was right for me. But I'm not sure how much actual support it gave. It's one of those things like taking a couple advil. Do you feel better because it's working or because your problem went away? Whatever the case, I really liked mine and wore it daily with my compression socks. My third trimester power outfits! But I was comfortable and went an active 39 weeks. My concerns were for a bad back and any support that might minimize stretch marks. One out of two met isn't bad!

If I had really been concerned, or if the Belly Bra didn't work, I would have tried a prenatal cradle:

    But it looks complicated.

Also, your doc might be able to suggest something, which might even be covered by insurance. I didn't want to wait or mess around, but that is another option.
