Belly support questions

When did you start to need a belly supporter??

What kind do you think is best and most comfortable, especially for twins??

I am nearly 21 weeks and up 40 lbs already, so I am going to need one soon! I have the basic band from pregnancy with DS, but for these two I know I'll need more support. I've seen the Prenatal Cradle on line, which is over $50 - is this worth it?

I have used the band from Motherhood maternity and it works great as far as support. I wore mine starting at 26 weeks. I also went to the mountains at 27-28 weeks and was climbing up and down the mountains so it works.

 

I'm 31 weeks and haven't found any that are comfortable. They feel comfortable for a couple of hours and then start to feel like I'm being strangled by them and have to take them off. I have the same sensation with anything that clings to my waist and I find myself even changing clothes at least once a day just to feel more comfortable.

 

I have the prenatal cradle. I think it works a lot better than the traditional belts. I got mine on eBay for about 1/3 of the price. I also think that some doctor's will write a prescription for these so that insurance will pay for most of the cost. Look into your options! I am 27 weeks and just got mine a week ago, but needed it about 2 months ago!

 

Yep, I have the one from Motherhood Maternity and have used it a couple of times. It works great and is only $15! I think I'm going to use it more now that I'm getting further along.

 

I have a prental cradle and it's ok. It helps a bit, but by the end of the day I am ready to tear it off. You also can't wear tank tops or tops cut a certain way or it shows.

I also have a back support brace thing for pg (don't know the name) and I can't wear it. It's bulky and shows through all my clothes. :angry:
