Ok I feel like a bad mom. First off 2 weeks ago my 4 year old fell outside in the snow and sprained his neck. Spent 7 hours at the ER. His best part was going for a ride in the bed to the X-ray room. Today my 2 1/2 year old decided to eat some Tylenol Cold pills spent another 5 hours in the ER today. Got to love the Charcol suff. But she did great and drank it all. She even sat still when the drew her blood 2 differnt times. I don't even know where she gotton the pills. Me nor my husband havent taking cold pills in over a year. I was bathing one of the twins when I checked on her and saw her with the package. It was only 10 minutes that she found them and ate them. I knew she was to quite for a reason. I am just really glad i checked on her instead of bathing the other baby.
We had just went through and got rid of all our old medicen 2 months ago. I guess I must have missed it somewhere. needless to say all the medicen in the house is now locked away. My husband went through everything to make sure there was not anymore that we missed.
I guess I just feel that since the twins came home I have a hard time keeping track of everyone. I hope it gets eaiser. I really have seen enough of the ER to last me a while.

Sorry to hear about your little man's neck, I hope he heals quickly! And your DD's ER trip, how terrible for you! You are not a bad mother by any means!!!! Having twins at home is hard enough, then add on that they are under 4 months old AND you have two other children! We have all been there, it is not an easy task. Just remember that everything is going to get easier with time and at least both DS and DD are ok. [IMG]

We wouldn't want life to get too boring, you know. Unfortunately, those things happen. My dd was almost 2 when she got into some medicine that was in an unpacked box (we had just moved and I had a two week old baby at the time). She had the charcoal, heart monitor, etc, so I know what you just went through. You can't blame yourself, though. Kids are so inquisitive, and especially if they know you're distracted and they shouldn't be in it. Hugs to you for your tough 2 weeks.

[IMG] WOW!! You've had a go of it!! Kids are so resourceful aren't they!? It really sends me the message that I have some proofing to do!!

I'm so happy she's ok!! [IMG]

Oh my gosh, it must have been so stressful trying to pack up the babies and drag all those kids to sit around the ER! Or worse yet, try to find someone to watch them!

I hope you get a break!

I have 5 also. [IMG]s, hope things calm down for you. Around 4-5 months things finally settled into a routine. I know it seems like a long time, hang in there. You are not a bad mom! [IMG]

Nope, sorry, you aren't a bad mother. You are just a super busy, distracted mother of 5 who THANKFULLY listened to her instincts! I'm happy to hear that nothing bad happened with her! And *ouch* to your 4 yr old, I hope he recovers quickly! It sounds like you are having a rough week! [IMG]
