Hi all. its just been a rough week with the girls and just wanted to "talk" to someomne who understands the demands of twins. Girls really are not sleeping at night. are 4 months old today. started lena on stage 1 baby food. anna is not ready yet.. they go to bed at 830 or so at night and sleep till 3am. Im not complaining about that, i know some of you would kill for that. they dont go back to bed till a bit after 5am. I have 2 older kids who have to get up,dressed and ready for school. 1 goes everyday, 1 goes 3 days a week and mo starts pre k in september so she is home. last couple of days just cant get anything done, someone needs to eat/be changed picked up... and on top of it i got my period so im cranky, and really tired. and why is it that people feel the need to tell me that their singleton is soo cranky, its like having twins. really??? im not feeling that. I have not felt this tired since they were about 7 weeks old. today i feel like im failing my kids. at this point, i want a hot cup of coffee, and i want to put all the clothes away (did 4 loads today) *sigh* on the bright side.. i did get 7 minuets in the shower all by my self.. thanks for listening to me whine. tomorow is a new day

I am so sorry you are going through such a hard time!! Sometimes reading posts like yours I realize I sometimes have it made with my situation (we only have the twins, no older kids, and my mom watches them so DH and I can both work). You are at a very hard stage right now and I hope things start going better with your twin girlies soon! Our boys are almost 9 months old and we are LOVING our time with them. Well, that's not to say I don't sometimes get teary eyed in the wee hours like this morning at 3am when Colin wouldn't calm down and go back to sleep...but that is minor compared to what you are going through. I also remember those "dark days", i.e. the first few months, very well and I am sooo glad to have those behind us. Anyway, hang in there because things WILL get better soon, I promise! :)

p.s. Hope you got the can of Gentlease I sent you a few weeks ago!

mandy! please excuse me for being rude and not thanking you sooner!. I did get it and thank you soo much. again, im sorry for not thanking you sooner. My girls go to a family dr, not a pediatrician.. and their dr has a set of ID boys who just turned 6. She told me that the first year is the worst, because nothing is constant and is constantly changing, and even though they are id, no two (no pun intended) children are alike. all of you moms with twins older then mine are my hero of the day.

No problem Beth! So glad you got it! It probably only got you through 4 or 5 days, but I'm glad somebody in need could use it. Good luck with everything! :)

Ugh, I'm sorry. Your plate is full for sure. I hope you have a better night and things get a bit easier. I only had one older DD and when you HAVE to be up to get them ready for something (i.e. school) after being up all night with 2 little ones, it is just so draining. Hang in there.
