So I'm looking at Beech-Nut's website and they have 3 First-Stage meats - turkey and broth, beef and broth, and veal and broth. But I thought you weren't supposed to give them any meats until later? I looked at Gerber and noticed that they don't have any FIrst Stage meats.

Any of you give your babies 1st Stage Meats??

Just cause they make doesn't mean use should feed it to your baby :bad: the straight meats are super nasty like cat food

I noticed that at the grocery store the other day!! I thought you were supposed to wait too!! my girls make terrible faces at sweet potatoes so I have a feeling the meat is out of the question here at any age!

Stage One is like super pureed foods, and they are single, like applesauce, sweet potatoes, etc. You use Stage One for them to learn how to eat, basically. Stage 2 is a thicker food and can come in combined flavors (once you've used Stage One foods to rule out allergies) like Mixed Berries or Pineapple Pear. Stage Two is for when they've figured out how to take food off a spoon and swallow it without pushing it back out with their tongues.
