what time do you put your newborns to bed?

When the girls were newborns the routine was just putting them in their crib to sleep and trying to get some sleep in myself after the 9 pm feeding.

I usually took them to bed when I went to bed, after whichever feeding was last. Usually that was around 10:00, but we didn't really have a routine at that age. I just fed them & put them to bed.

At 5 weeks, my boys had just been home from the NICU for one week. We didn't have anything that resembled a bedtime routine until 4/5 months! We had a general feeding routine that the NICU got started for us, but the babies slept anywhere (bouncies/swings/infant carriers/PNP/crib) for the first few months.

At that age we had no routine really, they fell asleep mid bottle at every feed so i would just put them down. We all lived in the lounge for the first 3months, then we moved them to our room and started a routine.. that we still follow now - bath, bottle, bed.

My girls are 5 weeks old as well. We don't have much of a routine as of yet - but they generally go to bed sometime between 11 and 12 - depending on their feeding. They are usually sleeping before that feeding as well - but we put them down "officially" for the night after that late night feeding. Then they usually get up once during the night. I am hoping to get into more of a routine soon and get them on more of a schedule soon - right now everything is on demand. Good luck!

At 5 weeks, we had no routine. We were just trying to survive. They usually went down for bed around 11pm after that feeding.

At that age they didn't have a bedtime, or a routine. It was just every few hours around the clock -- feed, rock to sleep, wake up, change diapers, feed, rock to sleep, etc. DH and I considered our bedtime to be anytime after 7:00--by taking shifts between 7:00pm and 7:00am, we could usually each get about 6 hours of sleep (total).

They started to have more of a "bedtime" around 2 months when they started sleeping slightly longer stretches at night than during the day. We considered it bedtime around 9:00 -- but they took a "nap" from about 6-7 usually, and then woke at least twice before dawn.

When they were about 3 months old, we started trying to have a bedtime routine, but it was very simple -- diapers, PJs, a couple of books, bottle, rock to sleep.

Mine are almost 4 weeks. They go to bed for the night around 9:30 and get up twice during the night to eat.

I get them up at 8:00 am every morning then they eat every 2.5 to 3 hours until 9:30pm. I demand feed at night so whenever they wake up is when I feed them.

not really a bedtime as such, but as newborns, we would have dinner around 5pm (if we got chance to eat lol), then bath and put them into night time sleeper and fed and down around 7/8ish then I really considered the midnight feed the night time feed, although they were probably up again 3am/4am

My boys were still in the NICU at that time, and eating every 3 hours. When they came home about a week later, they still ate every 3 hours and slept most of the time in between feedings.

At 12 weeks they slept through the night, and we put them to sleep at about 8-9 pm.

Our boys are 8wks and their "bedtime" is really just when we trade off watching them. Around midnight we move them to our bedroom and they sleep in the co-sleeper for the night.

We would do a bedtime "routine" and hope to have them in bed by 9-10 (after a feeding) when they were brand new. Around 8 weeks, we started with a bedtime around 7 -7:30 and also a routine.
