My little ones wake up around 8am, take a nap around 1:30pm to 3:45pm (almost on the dot), and then I put them to bed around 7:45pm. They tend to talk for the first hour that I put them down. They aren't crying, just talking. Do you think they aren't tired yet to go to bed? Should I stop naps? They seem to need it, but I feel bad putting them to bed and not spending time with them...however, at the same time I need "me" time. They aren't complaining -- just talking. Thougths?

Let them talk away. My two talk alot at bedtime also. I think its just their way of winding down for the day. If they didnt need the naps, thats where you would really have the problem.
Most kids (or so Im learning) really NEED naps for quite a long time. My BFF just took her 3 year old twins to the pedi for their well baby check and she assured her she was GLAD they were still napping because at this age, they need to be.
If you're really worried about their sleep try giving them more physical activity between naptime and bedtime. You're a SAHM your with them ALL DAY, claim your ME time :) You are important too!

I would let them talk away, if they aren't crying and eventually fall asleep, I would just leave them to chat!!!!

Maybe try waking them at 3:00 instead of 3:45. That extra 45 minutes of wake time might make them fall asleep faster.

At least one of mine is usually chatting away an hour after bedtime, too, so we're right there with you!! I agree that they need the wind down time, and they're not crying, so it's obviously not bothering them!
