For those of you who use baths as a part of your bedtime routine how do you fit it in? I was thinking after they eat but they need to sit up for about 30 mins because they like to spit up but that would put us at 10 p.m. for baths which sounds too late to start the process.

Maybe baths BEFORE their last meal of the day?

We didnt start doing baths as part of a bedtime routine until they were 9 months old. Prior to that we did baths every OTHER day.
Now our scheudle for a day looks like this (to give you a rough idea):
    730-830wake up
    1030ish first nap
    1230ish lunch
    230ish second nap
    430ish play
    530-6pm dinner
Baths immediately after dinner. I keep a book in the bathroom and I sit on the toilet and read while I let my little ones play. That gives them play time and mommy relaxation time while they are still being supervised with me sitting right by their side.
We are normally done by 7pm and we let them play in the living room until 830pm when they go to bed.

On a work day, I get home at 5pm and we go right into the 530-6 dinner, baths immediately after.

You dont have to worry about bibs, wiping them up, anything just feed em, plop them in the tub, put on clean diapers and jammies and off to bed they go :)

Does that help you at all?

When we do baths (twice a week still), we do solids, bath, PJs, bottle and bed at 7pm. Before solids it was before their last bottle too.

I do their bath before their last feeding and it works well. My girls get a bottle at 9pm before going to bed for the night. I wake them up from their nap at 8:15pm and bathe them. I put them in their pajamas and sleep sacks and then they enjoy their 9pm bottle and usually fall hard asleep when they're done drinking.

We do baths every night. Here is our nightime schedule
    5-6 nap
    6:30 dinner (baby food)
    7ish bath
    7:45ish bottle and bed

It works really well for us and helps us maintain a decent routine for the girls.

One of my girls has reflux, so she has stay upright for a bit also. We do baths 3-4 times a week(sometimes more), depending on how much she spits up. Baths are usually around 5:30 or 6, then last bottle, and bed.

I do baths every day at the last feed. Basically it goes: bath, bottle then bed. It works a treat every time!

We do baths every other night here. I call it BBB [Bath Bottle Bed]. The warm bath soothes them, the bottle makes them all comfy and the bed is cozy. They usually don't have any problem falling alseep.

On the nights we don't do baths we just get a bowl of warm water with a rag and wash face and hands [cause they drool a Lot and put their hands in their mouths all day].

we do baths every night... but its really just a few squirts of bath soap to get bubbles and they just love kicking and splashing - its very very cute! My dh is actually more in charge of that, which gives me a few minutes to get the pjs and diapers ready etc. we try to do it around 6:30p, but can be 6-7p. then I breastfeed and if they didn't get enough from me, we give then an extra frozen bottle and then bedtime. most of the time it works like a charm. They can be fussy fussy and then get in the bath and just laugh & play - its such a reward to do baths for us. we don't focus so much on the cleaning part... more just getting their squirms & wiggles & frustrations out!
