One of those days!! DH and I decided to head up to the outlets in Maine today (about 1.5 hours each way). No big deal, right? HA! Apparently AF is in town for dh and of course the PMS monster has invaded my body so let's just say we started out in a major cat fight for the first half of the trip. Yay. The girls usually nap a total of 3.5 - 4 hours when we're at home during the day. In the car a little less, but not usually too far off if we're on the road - NOT TODAY!! They slept about 1.5 hours TOTAL. I ended up driving both ways because dh was tiiiiiiiiiired (wah) so when we got home he was nice enough to (or knew he better!) offer to let me take a nap. Why bother? When I got up the house was in shambles. He has school tonight so he had to hurry and get ready - see ya! So I take the girls outside, whine whine whine. I put them in their swings outside, whine whine whine. I put on Play with Me Sesame and the crying gets so bad, I'm convinced the neighbors are ready to report me thinking for sure I am torturing my babies. Can't take it anymore. Normally they go to bed around 6:30 and are asleep shortly after. Tonight they were in bed at 5:45, I couldn't get them there fast enough!!!! :icon_eek:

So, thanks for listening. I feel better. Now, may I please have some wine with my whine? :drinks:

What is with DH's and not cleaning when they offer a nap? The good news is that they are probably conked until morning!

I am sooooooooooooooooooooo with u. My DD has decided today is not the day to nap and has been up since before 10am it is now 4:11 and she is miserable which in turn is making me miserable. I just want her to nap but she won't which means she is gonna be a monster till bedtime which I would prefer bedtime be now......... But I know it is not and just want to lay on the floor and cry cry cry right beside her. :umm:

Well, because I was napping, that left no time for him to get ready for school - change his clothes and brush his teeth! OH NOOOOO!!!

I wouldn't say it was a bad or rough day just "one of those" ya know? Exhausting!! I had some TS therapy and feel much better now!

Lois, haven't we discussed how they seem to ALWAYS be the same? Wonder why that is? September babies? The moon they were born under? You know me, always looking for the reason!! :D

Coming to this post after my day kinda makes me feel like I belong to a special group.

I did our first CIO for 3 naps today. It wasn't easy. Amy slept for 10 mins thane 15 mins and now that she is FINALLY asleep Matthew woke up and is screaming his head off.

I just want them to settle down before DH gets home so He won't go and pick them up after all my hard work- resisting the P/Us.

Hope tomorrow is better for everyone.

There are days I would need that desperately!! I was proud of myself today though because as they were screaming and writhing and throwing an absolute fit as I'm trying to wrestle them to put their jammies on, I just closed my eyes, took a deep breath and kept repeating "they are only babies, they are tired..." I felt so bad for them. Emma even pitched a fit in her crib. I think she was too tired to fall asleep right away. :(

Be right back, now I have to run up and kiss them.

Yep, right now Chase is in his crib sobbing. Went to the grandparents today which threw them off. And no one gets why I can't be more "relaxed" when I say we need to go now ... because they've never had 2 overtired, hungry, cranky babies to deal with!!!!!!!

Hopefully they sleep alllll night for you!

Let me know the next time you go..............I have a summer house a few miles from there. The babies could nap and you could chill out before going back home!

Hope they are back to their usual selves in the morning!

    oh, my goodness.

After all the screamng wiht MOmmy all day Mqthew and Amy were the picture of calm , happy , easy to get to sleep babies.

DH has no clue as to what went on today. I did not plan on telling him how much screaming Amy did. But a funny thing happened when my SIL talking to the babies on speaker phone. She blurted out that the babies were crying for half aan hour at a time. Her daughter was here and she told MOM who didn't know I was sparing DH the gorey details.

But to night DH decided that the little darlings can't do with out him so he is going to sleep in the nursery for " a week or 2." and let me slepp in my room. Wonder if the babies will give him a show or not. I obviously hope they have a nice restful sleep but SOMEWHERE INSIDE OF ME I hope se gets a "real show. " I am sssosooooooooo bad.

    10:15 pm update.
Right now he has Matthew with us in our room and is just in love so much he doesn't want to put him to bed slightly awake. We shall see!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Dianne!! You are very lucky to have a house up there, I am SOOOO jealous!! Maine is my absolute favorite place to be. We have gone to Ogunquit and Wells in the past.

This morning was HORRIBLE for Emma. I ended up putting her on the living room floor by herself and let her cry. There was absolutely nothing I could do for her, it was so bad she didn't even want me. It BROKE MY HEART!!!! :( She took a 2 hour morning nap and is back to her old self - thank goodness for both of us!!
