I've been on modified bedrest now for 10 weeks. I'm also getting so big at this point that even when I can be up I don't want to or can't be for long because I just get so tired so fast.

I have a 7 yr. DD who will be out of school for summer tomorrow and a 3 yr. DS. Lately they have been fighting like cats and dogs constantly and school isn't even out yet!!! I'm at my wits end.

If I'm lucky enough to last even another 4-5 weeks before delivering, what am I supposed to do with them? We don't have our yard in quite yet and the grass probably won't be ready for the kids until at least mid-July. I do have a few people a week willing to take my kids to play at their homes for a couple of hours in the morning.

What have all of you done or are planning to do to keep your kids busy and yourself as sane as possible while you are down?

I guess this is one of the "perks" of being hospitalized. . . I had to totally resign my kids daily care to others weeks ago. (It's hard either way, isn't it?)

Have you thought about enrolling them in some day camps they might enjoy? That would help break the summer boredom up for them. Even let them pick some out perhaps. Altho, your DS may not have this option because of age.

That could be a good idea for DD. I seem to have a harder time lately when they're together. It could be good if she were gone part of the day. I don't understand why all the sudden (last 2 weeks or so) they just can't seem to get along.

My kids behaviour always starts deteriorating at the end of the school year. . . too much excitement! Perhaps Spring Fever!? My 7 yo is also acting nuts, and my 5 yo is teasing everybody he can these days. I was just talking about this with my mom today too!

My MIL called today and she is going to take both kids for us for 3 nights (she lives about 1 1/2 hours away)!!! My DD will go to a summer cooking class with her cousin those 3 days and my DS will get to play at his aunts house some of the time. Hopefully this will give me a much needed break from them as well as them from me.

My parents will be taking them to the local amusement park the following week. At least we have a few activities planned, away from the house, for the next couple of weeks. :)

I'm glad you got some things planned for the kids. :)
