How common is bedrest in twin pregnancy?

I am not sure about a statistic, but I was put on bedrest myself with the twins! I had no bedrest with my prior 3 pregnancies.

Both me and my sister were put on BR with our twin pregnancies and not our singletons.

Bedrest is something I fear, big time! I am only 18 weeks, and I can see it coming. I am pretty active, and have a hard time slowing down. Kiesha

I think I remember reading in one of the 5 zillion books about twins that about 60% of ladies pregnant with twins go on bedrest.

Thanks everyone! I ahve had a lot of concerns about working ect. I have a 3 year old and worked until I went into labor, but I have the sense that might not happen this time.

From my bed I write to you. If you can slow down, do before they order you too. Bedrest is unpleasant at best, and I feel very lucky that my family has worked out a schedule of visits two weeks each till the babies are born to care for our nearly 3 year old. ( i think it would be much easier with out my son, but atleast he is in the other room if I need a hug.)
