Was just wondering what kind of bed times you all enforce with your 2 year olds...or older. I used to have mine down by 7 and they were really good about it. But now im doing good to get them down before 8. What are you all doing?

I think it depends on when they get up and nap.

My girls sleep about 11 1/2-12 1/2 hours.

If they nap they go to bed at 7:30 and fall asleep about 8ish. If they do not nap they tend to bed at 6:45 or 7.

    They wake up around 6:30.

If they nap (usually) it is about an hour from 12:30- 2 (fall asleep by 1).

One of my girls usually sleep a bit more than the other (1/2 to 1 hr) at naptime.

Before bed we brush teeth, change into jammies, read a story or two & go to bed w/ lights off and a soft music/sound machine. Sometimes they chatter or sing for a bit before falling asleep.

Ours was 7 also until they turned 2. I had to change bedtime to Eight Pm about 3 weeks ago because they usually slept 7-6:30am and they started waking consistantly at 5am which is waaay to early. I pushed it up to 8 and now they are waking their usual time at 6:30am.

My littlest ones have been going to bed @ 8 since they were 2. They get up between 6 - 7am and do not normally nap.

We've done 7:30 forever and don't plan on changing it anytime soon. Maybe if I go back to work full-time we'll need to, but for now, sticking to it. They both get up around 8am.

7:30, and we'd like to be 8:00, but I don't think we can get it pushed back until 8:00 until it gets warmer and stays light later.

Until just before they turned two, mine were in bed by 7 (we aimed for 6:45) and asleep by 7:30. Now they are usually in bed by 7:15 (7:30 if I'm doing it solo) and asleep by 8ish. They definitely seem to want to stay up later. So, I am compromising -- I'l put them to bed a little later, but I also know that they'll stay up longer chatting and singing, which is fine with me as long as I get my grownup time.

Bedtime is the same whether they nap well or not, mostly because I work FT so I can't get them down any earlier anyway. They nap better at home on the weekends than they do at daycare, but I just keep the same bedtime because I figure consistency is good (for me too!). We do like knowing that we can keep them up till 8 or so if we want to go to a friend's house for dinner or something.

They are sleeping a bit later too -- they used to wake at 6-6:30 but now often sleep till 6:45-7:00, or even (once in a blue moon) 7:30. I wouldn't want them to sleep any later because we have to be out the door by 8:15.

They have been going to bed at 8 since they were about 1.5 and it totally works for us. They still nap in the afternoon from about 1-3.

In bed at 7-7:30, asleep by 7:30-8. They wake at 6:30 and nap about 1.5 hours. Total sleep time of 12-13.5 hours.

They go down at 8:30 and usually sleep until 6:30 or 7:00. They also get a 1.5 to 2 hour nap during daycare (everyday). On the weekends, same schedule but sometimes we let them nap longer (depends on how tired I am).

Mine will be 3 in April, and we are still doing 7pm, they are up like clockwork at 7:30am.

It was a little later this last summer, and I bet when the days get long again it will be a bit later again.

They usually take a 1-1.5 hour nap.

When mine were 2 they would nap 3 hours in the afternoon and sleep 7pm-7am. Now at almost 4, their naps are hit and miss...so bedtime depends on their nap. No nap = 6:45/7pm bedtime. A decent nap and they are in bed by 8Pm. They still wake between 7 and 7:30am no matter what time they go to bed.
