What time do you put your twins to bed? How long do they sleep at night? Mine our up every 2 hours so by the time i get them both fed i feel like i barley hit the bed before i'm geting up again. hubby works third shift 3 nights a week, so its not bad when he is home but i'm on my own when he is at work [IMG] Any tips to helping them sleep longer?
    Our night time
    -play on the floor
-take abby for tubby, new diaper and p.j.s, swaddle her and feed her till her eyes get sleepy, put her in the crib.
-take mason for tubby, new diaper and p.j.s, feed him and lay him in the crib when he stops eating. he is awake but will only play for a minute before he falls asleep.
about two hours later they start to get up for more food, i tryed rice in there bottle but diddent seem to do anything. I am a first time mom so it could just be that they are only 4 months old, I dont know. [IMG]

At 4 months old, mine had a bottle at 7, then off to bed when they were done--they were in PJ's before the bottle. I would put them in their cribs, sing a song or read a book, and leave. I heard from them again at 8am. They started this at 3 months old.

How much are they eating during the day? Are you running in at night at the first sound--or are you waiting? At that age they are learning how to fall asleep, and they will wake often, but if left alone many times will put themselves right back to sleep.

Mine never really cried--I just sent you a PT. Maybe it is time to move them, so you don't hear and respond to every sound. Do you have another crib? Can you separate them, it may be that they are waking each other now that they are getting more wiggly.

Also, I wasn't referring to if they were crying, but sometimes they can fuss, and then go back to sleep.

Mine will be 3 months on Monday. They go down around 8:30ish and one sleeps all night and the other gets up once. They both get up around 8.

How much are they eating and sleeping during the day? Getting up every 2 hours seems frequent for their age. I fed the boys every 3 hours and didn't let them nap for more than 1.5-2 hours during the day. I would put them to bed at 7:30 and they slept until 7 the next morning (and still do when a tooth isn't coming in!! [IMG] )

I would bath one, let him play in his crib while I bathed the other, then lotion, diaper, and pj one and then lotion, diaper, pj the other. Then we would read for a very few short few minutes until I saw their sleepy signs, then feed them at the same time in their bouncies and put them to bed.

Also, how much do they weigh? Mine started sleeping through the night around 12-14 pounds.

    Good luck to you!! [IMG]

Mine just started sleeping longer. I give them cereal in their bottles. Usually when babies hit a certain weight (about 11 lbs.) they generally sleep a bit better at night. I don't do CIO because one of my twins had a brain bleed and the doctor said excessive crying could raise her blood pressure and that wouldn't be good for her.I have a feeling you don't have much longer before they sleep better for you. Hang in there!

Ours go to bed around 7/730. They by no means sleep through the night, however, our dd is getting better. She wakes about 2 times a night, on a very good night. Now, our ds has a different self-directed schedule. [IMG] He gets up about every 2 to 3 hours. Hoping it gets better, I try not to force the issue too much with them yet.
