My DS refuses to drink a bottle before bedtime.....I give him cereal and he eats that but not bottle....I give him cereal so he at least has something in his stomach....then most times he is up 2 hours later and we give him a 4 oz bottle (hes 10 months) should I be worried....I know his top teeth are coming in, dont know if thats the reason..

Teething will tend to put kids off the bottle. Try giving him the formula in a hard spout sippy cup. The would probably make him happer--he will get the relief of chewing on the cup while drinking.

I would suggest to keep introducing the sippy cup throughout the day. Have you tried giving him the bottle before the cereal to see if he will drink from that before eating the cereal? It might just be something he is going through while he is getting these particular teeth in and once the teeth are in, he'll be back to himself. Teething stinks!
Another suggestion, if you have not tried this yet, have you given him Tylenol or Motrin before eating (maybe 30 minutes before)-maybe numbing the pain a bit will make him more willing to take the bottle. Good luck, I know teething is hard and it seems like it goes on forever, once you get past one set of teeth then the next come in. Hang in there!

What if you stop the cereal? Is he too full from that to have a bottle? How old is he?

I'd stop the cereal, or only give it after he's had a bottle.

Mine pretty much stopped drinking much of their bedtime bottle in the past month also, but they sleep through the night.

No, I dont think its wrong we were just saying that maybe that is what is interfering with him wanting a bottle because he is full from the solids. So, if you dont give him the solids will he be hungry enough to drink a bottle or does he simply not want the bottle before bed anymore. Or if you give solids, maybe move up the time so that there is more time between him getting solids and then getting a bottle so that he is hungrier?

Im just not sure what is going on with him....Is it normal for them to just stop drinking the bottle???? they get a bottle at 3-3:30 then they get a bottle betwwen 6:30-7 and then its bed...I was asking if it was wrong to give him cereal if he doesnt drink his bottle.... My DH says I shouldnt give him cereal at all he should be drinking his bottle....but how can I force him to eat if he wont take it....I never give them cereal before bed, only when they dont eat.....Im just not sure if I should be concerned or he just doesnt need it...
