So Ill be doing bed rest in about 9 more weeks (maybe sooner with the way things are going). My partner will be gone for 2 months and when hes back he still has to work. Im a stay at home mom of a one year old and a three year old. Im at a lost as to what to do. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find some help with the little ones so i can go on bed rest? Sorry, you might want to know im pregnant with twins, lol?

Does your Dr want you on strict or modified bedrest? Do you have friends or family near by that can help you? What about hiring a mom's helper that can come in and assist you? I have heard of other moms on here using Nanny agencies or Craigslist, but I have no personal experience. Good Luck, Bedrest is so hard!! :hug99:

He says total bedrest. Everyone works. Weekends and evenings are no probs. Its the day time. Maybe a "nanny" would work? I wonder how much that would cost? Thanks.

Then yes, I would say that you need to hire somebody. You absolutely need to follow your Dr's orders. How far along are you? Keep us posted!

do your older kids nap in the afternoon? I was just put on bedrest today (sigh), I am 25 weeks with twins and have a 22m old. I plan on taking him to the sitter on mornings when family is not visiting (they all live out of town) and bringing him home for lunch/nap. This way, cost is low for 1/2 day of care and I get to spend a little time with him then put him down and I can go rest again (yipee). I haven't tried this yet, but that is my plan! Dollars are stretched now w/o me working. My dr. said this was fine.

I would definitely hire some help. I was on strict bedrest from 15 weeks on, but I had no other children. I know if I get PG again I'll have some bedrest, and I would definitely need to have my nanny's help.
