Can anyone recommend a type of bed rail that packs easily for travel. We're going to FL and I want something for the beds in the hotel. I usually use a bunch of pillows, but they seem to slip and take up too much room.

    Thanks,
    Christie

I haven't used them myself, but I've seen these ones Inflatable bed rails before, and I've seen ones that go on top of the sheet with a big elastic band that goes around the ends/bottom of the bed.

Do you think they need bedrails? I never put them on my girls' toddler beds because the beds were so low to the ground already and I don't think they've ever fallen out.

Can you just bring an air mattress and put it on the floor if you're worried about them falling off of a high bed?

FWIW, last time we stayed in a hotel, I put the kids in one bed and myself in the other and Alice pushed Royce off around 2:30. He woke up for 1/2 of a second and fell back asleep on the floor. I just left him there, covered him up with a blanket.
