Last night when we put the boys down one sat up and pulled himself up... then his foot sl\iepped and his leg got caught in an open slat, then between the crib and the mattress. The other one crawled over and started pulling himself up.

We think its the lowest option and the boys arent tall... could they oull themselves out/over?

And what to do about the mattress? I though it fit... both of them have a little room... now Im scared theyre going to get hurt, but the mattresses are the standard size and the recommended size for the cribs...

    Anyone have this?

we have been experiencing this as well. not as much the feet slipping through but it has happened once or twice. mattress is at lowest setting here, too. boys are pulling themselves up to standing in the middle of the night and are wired/wide awake. sigh!

Mine started doing that when they first started pulling up. We just had to let them CIO if you go in and try and lay them back down they will keep popping up and it will become a battle of wills. Good luck. For us the novelty of being able to stand up wore off after about a week and back to sleeping we went.

I agree. The novelty of being able to stand in the crib didn't last long. CIO is what I did too.

Glad to hear this does not last long!!! The past week has felt like forever!
Guess we just need to bite the bullet and do CIO....I know with my boys, this will wake the other one if they are not already awake, and then it will be double duty CIO time... :fool:

It should not be any room between matress and crib though. It's too dangerous if it is. Ours fit perfectly.

Don't use any stuff animal, crib pad, pillow,.. In the cribs then they can't climb out.
