Hi everyone! I am new to this site and excited to find that there are so many of us going through the same thing and can share stories and help keep moral up. I am 28 weeks and 6 days pregnant with twins (a boy and a girl) and have been on hospital bedrest for almost 3 weeks now. We came in 80% effaced and dialeted to a 3 and went straight to the Magnesium Sulfate. For those who have had to go through that, you know how miserable it can be. The doctors didn't think we would make it more than 48 hours but here we are beating the odds 3 weeks later and I plan on NOT delivering these babies any earlier than 34 weeks. We are now 100% effaced and the little boy is hangging very low and in position to come out while the little girl is hanging out in my ribs, enjoying the "whole upper level" as the ultrasound tech put it. I've been trying to keep busy watching movies since reading is out of the question cause the terbutaline is making me very gidery and therefore I have a very hard time concentrating. :) But I have made it this far and I know I can keep going!

:yahoo: Whoo hoo! You are doing a great job taking care of your lil ones! I was on hospital bedrest for 3 weeks with my first son after I had a full membrane rupture (I too was told I wouldn't last more than 48hrs). Keep up the positive attitude and 34 weeks will be here in no time!

Good for you! You are doing a great job.
I almost delivered at 24 weeks. I was on bed rest with numerous complications, but made it to 36 weeks. My MFM told me later he saw no medical reason I didn't deliver betwen 24-26 weeks. All of the odds were against going to 36 weeks, but obviously it does happen.
Congrats on a boy and a girl. We have the same.
    take care, Beth

    Hi!
    You are doing great!

I was on hospital bed rest from 22wks-35wks. My MFM told me when he released me that he never thought I'd make it past 30wks. My cervix was very short and I had an emergency cerclage put it at 22wks, when I started the bed rest. By the end I basically had no cervix left, but still didn't deliver until 36wks.

Stay in the bed and just remember you are doing the very best you can right now.

Stay positive! You can do this!
