We are remodeling a room in our house for the kids and I wanted to put something in there for them to sit in. I was thinking of beanbag chairs because I thought they would have fun with them too.

My problem is I am having so much trouble finding decent ones in any stores. I see tons online but wanted to buy one fomr a store so I can see them first

If you have beanbag chairs where did you get them (online or store) and do you like them.

Are beanbag chairs even appropriate for 2 year olds?

I got mine from Lillian Vernon.com and they are fine!! Think they are good enough quality and not too $$$! We've had them since their FIRST Christmas and they are still going strong!! My kids love sitting in them!!

You are in Ohio? Do you have a Meijers near you? I bought my neice a beanbag chair for Christmas last year from there. It is a great chair, good quality and decent price. I picked out the outside of the chair and then bought the beans for the inside seperate. I just had to dump the beans into the chair and it was done.

    Hope this helps!

We got the girls denim Pottery Barn bean bag chairs with their names stitched on for their first birthday. They use them every day and love them. I'm sure we'll get plenty years more use out of them.

I'm not sure how big of a bean bag chair you're looking for, or your price range. We have 2 & very different sizes. Someone bought one of those little Dora the Explorer bean bag chairs for dd last Christmas & they kind of play on it.....but not really. It doesn't have any shape & it's hard to sit in.

I have a huge Love Sac in the living room, though & it's fantastic!!! Everyone loves it & fights over who gets it. :) I checked & they do have kids sized bags . Haven't seen that size in person, but my big one that I have is just amazing.

I have another question about your beanbag chairs. SOme of the ones I have seen online look like they have no give. In the pictures of some of them I have seen it looks like the child is sitting on top of a big ball.
Whatever I get I want to make sure they are not so tightly packed that they cant sit on them like they should on a beanbag chair.

Did any of you have that problem?

Lillian Vernon, denim cover with their names. My ILs gave them to the kids last year. They love them. They seem to be a decent price, the covers are washable, the denim doesn't show stains, and they are soft and have a lot of give in them. In fact, I'm considering trying to find some extra "beans" since they've been jumped on so much they've lost some of their puff. Highly recommend them.

I think if they are so young and light when they get them they might sort of sit on top. I didn't consider it a problem with my girls -- I'd just punch a seat into it for them. Doesn't happen at all anymore now that they are nearly 40 pounds.

Like I said above, ours are the Pottery Barn ones, and they definitely have the right give. Not too tightly packed.

I've heard only good things about the Lillian Vernon ones too, and my guess is they are a little less expensive.

We got ours at Lillian Vernon.com They worked great for us. At first they were very firm. Two years of mom and dad sitting in them for night time stories made them so soft that they are ready to be refilled.

I got mine at Ashley Furniture store for $19.99. It was a Black Friday ad but I think they may still be offering them for that price. It has the nice fabric lining also.
