Beach Pictures to share

If you follow this link to my husband's photography site you can see just a few of the pictures my husband took of them today at the beach.

I have always questioned since I found out I was pregnant with twins if they were identical or fraternal. From the beginning doctors said they could only be fraternal since they had two separate sacs and two separate placentas. I know I learned as time went on that they could still possibly be identical, but chances are really slim for that. They are 7 months old now and I have absolutely no problem telling them apart. Riley is almost a pound heavier than Wyatt (since Wyatt didn't gain weight during his 2 surgeries) so it's not hard. However, there are still times when I think they could totally be identical. So I thought, hey why not play the identical vs fraternal game here. Even though it won't give me a real answer, it could be fun. They are both blonde haired (I know I know they look bald, but I promise there's hair there ) and blue eyed. Their opthamologist said they will indeed by blue eyed little boys. I have asked about their blood types, but for some reason no one ever knows if they have the same or not.

Btw, I :wub: the pics Awesome! But i agree they do look like they could be identical. I voted ID cause they look totally ID in the pics you posted.

I'm also voting ID! They are too stinkin cute! Their eyes, noses, ears are very similar. You have to come back and tell us if you do get them tested!

 

I'm going with identical. But I also couldn't tell a set of fraternals apart to save my life... So...take that for what it's worth! :rotflmbo:

Look at the eye shape, the nose shape, the mouth shape, and the ear shape. I don't see any differences in those things, which is why i vote identical! :wub: :wub:

Most of you are voting identical which sooooo makes me want to go ahead and test them. I know it doesn't matter one way or the other, but it's starting to drive me crazy. Everyone always asks if they are fraternal then they argue w/ me that there's no way that they're only frats lol. Damn people, then don't ask! Right!?

That picture number 3 on the beach was the exact reason I posted this. I knew they looked a lot alike, but I know them apart so well that it's made me think maybe they aren't identical. Then I saw that picture and I was like holy cow! Besides weight difference, the only thing I know that makes them look different is that their heads are slightly different. Riley kind of has a bigger forehead and longer head in general. But looking at those pictures it sure looks like Wyatt is catching up!

 

Good golly those are some adorable little babies!! There are few things in this world cuter than lil nakey baby tushies, and wow if you didn't have a most gorgeous backdrop as well! So how was it cleaning all that sand off of them?

ETA: Methinks they are identical too! A lady in my MOMs group was told her girls were fraternal due to separate sacks, but she paid to get the test done because they looked so darn similar and sure enough they were ID too. Maybe for their first birthday put that test kit on their bday list so somebody else can pay for it, ha

 

They are so cute! And so identical!!! Our boys were di/di so we had them tested around 4.5 months old. Yep they were ID. It's the head shapes of my boys that are different as well, but put a hat on them, and especially in pictures and I question who is who. We used www.dnasolutions.com

They are adorable! I say identical as well. I don't notice any difference in head shape in the pictures, but the weight difference can make their heads appear different. My boys are definitely ID but there has always been a 1-1.5 lb weight diffrence and the only place it is noticable is in their head shapes. Matthew's is slighty rounder (especially in the cheek area).

 

Couldn't find the exact number, but about 11% of same sex di-di twins are identical. So if you eliminate the ones with different hair color, eye color, blood types, the chance of having identical twins goes way up.

My girls were a pound apart at birth and have been all along. I have NO problem telling them apart. But identical they are! Some pictures show it more than anything, when you catch a similar expression.

Get the test, it's fun knowing!

They sure look identical to me

 

They look more ID than MY IDs look. They also have a significant weight difference, but there head shapes are completely different (see ticker).
