Beach Bums

We met my in-laws in Corpus Christi for the weekend (SIL just moved there) and the boys visited the beach for the first time. They did GREAT! The first day they were a little nervous but no tears or meltdowns. The second day, you would swear they had been a million times. Caleb was jumping out of my arms to get to the water. He even rubbed his feet and hands in the gooey sand which would have made his PT super proud . I was proud of the boys as well as myself for pretending not to be terrified that they were out there. Every time I looked at their tiny bodies against the backdrop of the big scary ocean my heart sank and I wanted to throw up. It took everything in me not to let them see that I was afraid. I even let my DH take me out into the waves (past my comfort level) so they could see it wasn't something bad. It was a fantastic trip. My SIL's boyfriend's parents were in Scottland and they offered their home to us for the weekend. She has two small grandchildren so she had everything we needed-cribs, toys, bibs, books, EVERYTHING! It was unbelievable. It was like being at home minus the responsibility and plus eight extra hands to take care of the boys. In a word-heaven. Yep it was hot in texas this weekend... seems we all hit the water! They are super cute. Glad everything was great for the first beach outing!

Another of our eerie coincidences: my boys are wearing denim overalls sans shirt for their birthday, too-- it's a farm/ "Old MacDonald" theme... we'll probably be posting photos in those outfits soon! hehe

Thanks. The progress on the books came to a screeching halt. I have 2 more pages to do for Braxton and the ENTIRE book left for Caleb . Can you believe how close we are???! I haven't even mailed their invitations!

Thank you and sorry...no coincidence. Totally stole the idea from you when you posted about finding overalls for their party . They won't be wearing them for the party because we'll have them in the kiddie pool but I thought it would be good for the photo for their invite. Funny thing is, Caleb's somehow transformed him into a what he thought to be a superhero. He was gloiding all over the floors on his belly like there was no tomorrow :lol: . Such a goofball! Funnier thing is the overalls are a size 6 months so they are SUPER small on them...I mean they were busting out of them Hulk style.
