Ok, seriously is it too much to ask my kids to eat vegetables every now and again? They will NOT eat them. They love fruit.

I've tried frozen, fresh, canned and reverted back to baby food but they won't do those either. This has been ongoing for probably two months. I've tried weirdo veggies and standard veggies. They just will NOT eat them.

    Ideas? Thoughts?

Try, try, try again. My girls only eat sweet potato fries and frozen peas. The pedi put them on a vitamin since they refuse veggies. I keep trying though hoping that it will kick in one day. DH and I love veggies, all kinds, so we're hoping it eventually rubs off.

Have you read the Deceptively Delicious cookbook? I believe Kelly (Snittens) has had some luck with it.

I have seen portions of the DD cookbook. And, I do plan to begin purreeing (spelling??) things into some of their food. We love veggies, too and so their refusal bugs me!! Where do you find sweet potato fries?

Definitely keep trying and different ways, cooked/raw/frozen etc. My children' tastes can literally change over night. What they liked yesterday they may not like tomorrow and vice versa. I never would have known if I didn't keep offering them.

I'm right there with you! Neither will eat veggies and my ds won't eat fruits either! Sometimes I can trick him into a jar of pureed stuffhere and there, but thats about it. I keep trying and hoping one day....

Mine are the exact opposite. All they want is veggies with some fruit thrown it. They almost never eat meat!

Mine loved steamed veggies for about 5 weeks and I thought I had it made, NOW they won't touch them! I try every once in a while, and sneak some baby food puree in when I can, but right now all they eat is sweet potato fries. At least they will eat a decent amount of fruit, but I think they are beginning to go off that too. Maybe I gave them the same stuff too much and they got tired of it? Very frustrating!

Ya know what mine like? Those Boca veggie burgers ... I melt a slice of cheese on it ... and they love them! Right now if I give them small pieces of veggie they just ignore them ... so this is how I get them their veggies ...

I will put spinach in a food processor and chop it up real fine and put it into anything that is a casserole like dish. I made homemade pizza the other night and put it into the crust. The crust was a little green, but they didn't mind. I also use wheat germ and flax seed when I cook pancakes so they get some iron and other vitamins. My girls will only eat peas, corn, and carrots. And at times not even those. But like yours, they love fruit.

Do you have a Costco? That's where I've seen them.

I hide veggies. Nate LOVES them...he's a little vegetarian. But Gabe refuses. I try to hide them in things. And I just keep offering.

I did find this recipe from Jamie Oliver that the kids LOVE and all it is is veggies. I serve it over noodles.

I'm sorry, I'm just now seeing this. I get them at my local gocery store, in the section with the regular frozen fries. The brand name is Alexis and they are in a white bag.

First, keep offering them at meals and don't make a big deal out of it. Second, if you can add purees without them noticing that will help. I tried some recipes from DD and you could still taste them and my kids didn't like them.

One of the things we really like is a whole food, fruit and veggie supplement called Juice Plus+. It is 17 fresh, raw fruits and vegetables that have been juiced, powdered and then put in a capsule, chewable or gummie. It's great! Since it's just food it is very safe for anyone to take - you can't overdose on it. And, it is very effective - written up in 13 medical journals proving that it works in our bodies to improve our health. My kids started the gummies at 22 months. I would have started them sooner if I knew about it earlier. I know kids who have been on it all their lives, even while their moms were pregnant with them! That's how safe it is. It is only available through a rep like me. Here's my website if you want more info Juice Plus+ Oh, and I just met Dr. William Sears this past Friday. He is a well-known pediatrician who recommends Juice Plus+ as well. Here's the info on his website: Dr. Sears Recommends Juice Plus+ Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to order. I'd love to help you out!

    Hope that helps!

We're hit or miss with veggies. Lucas loves fruit...Jonas sometimes will eat some. They will eat corn and cubed cooked carrots. Other veggies I have to put in other things. Although I do try veggies alone a couple times a week to see if they will eat them (found out they like green peppers that way). Here are few of the things that we do.

With grilling season, my two seem to prefer grilled veggies and will snack on them as we cook.

I make mashed potatoes or mashed sweet potatoes and put veggies in there (smashed peas...my boys don't like the texture of the skin so I have smash them up a bit, carrots, corn, peppers, etc).

I take crescent rolls, spread them out, and put in sauteed mushrooms and spinach and roll up the crescent roll, bake, and cut up...they eat those up.

Sweet potato fries either fresh made or frozen (in the freezer section of wal-mart with the other fries). Same goes for sweet potato pancakes.

Broccolli and cheese fritters (in the frozen veggie isle) are mostly a hit.

I also throw in extra veggies in chicken noodle soup and spaghetti and my boys will eat them that way (as well as veggies in mac and cheese).

My boys refuse to eat any vegetable. I try and juice for them every morning - I do carrot, broccoli, apple, pear, kiwi. If I'm feeling extra sneaky I'll throw in a jar of baby veggies to thicken it up.
