And what lotions and potions do you put on your babies afterwards. Just for fun

Mmmm ... bad mommy ... nothing?! I am so relieved when I have 3 kids clean and dressed in pj's after I am done, that I usually skip the lotion (unless there are issues). I do brush their teeth though!

After dinner, we brush their teeth and then get them undressed. DH usually gets the tub ready and bathes with the boys and I help. I carry Jonas in first and DH sits him between his legs. Then I bring Lucas in and he sits in the bath seat. Then we wash with generic brand head to toe wash. Then we take Lucas out of the bath seat and let him and Jonas play for a few minutes.

Jonas gets out first. Dry off, put on Johnson's lavender baby oil gel, put on boudreaux's butt paste and diaper. Then we put on the jammies and into crib. Repeat with Lucas.

We bathe every other night. On non-bath nights, I use Johnson's vanilla and oatmeal lotion for rub down then boudreaux's, dress, read story, then to bed.

    That's our routine.

We bathe one baby a night -- the non-bath baby gets changed and cuddled by DH, and then a bottle. I bathe the other one with plain Cetaphil wash (one of mine has very sensitive skin, and reacts to everything), and then rub down with Cetaphil lotion, with lots of Aquaphor on the bum.

It's a little sad -- I love the smell of baby lotion and powder, but can't use any of that stuff -- but I think my babies smell delicious anyway. :)

I bathe one baby every day. So they get a bath every other day. I was doing both of them every day or every other day at the same time but that is too much. It is not such a hassle to just have to bathe one of them every night. First I run their water. I bathe them in the laundry room. There is a nice big sink in there that their baby bath tub will fit in. Then we go to their changing table and get naked, I grab their towel, then I bathe them head to toe. Then I get them out, wrap them in their towel and go back to their room and put on the changing table. I use Johnson's baby lotion. Love it. I also clean their nose if needed with saline solution and sucky thingy. Then I put their clothes on and brush their hair. Then they have their bottle/breast and off to bed. The one that does not get a bath, I wipe down with a baby wipe then put lotion on them and brush their hair and put their sleepers on. Then they get the bottle/breast. Works very well and the babies know that when they get their lotion and jammies on it is time for sleep.

I do every other night with my girls b/c I often do it without my dh as he travels a ton. Thankfully my almost 3 year old remembers whose turn it is from night to night. Anyway, we use hypoallergenic baby soap (generic brand) and creamy vaseline. I love the smells of the other stuff but I have kiddos with sensitive skin.

I guess we are the odd ducks out b/c we do morning baths, it seems to wire them if we do it at night. So after their breakfast bottle, DS will sit in the bouncy chair (he needs to be upright for awhile to avoid the pukies, while I bathe DD in the sink. We use Johnson and Johnson head to toe baby wash (no shampoo as they have no hair). After being washed, we spend a few minutes splashing about and exploring our feet. Then I wrap them in a towel and take the to the changing station I have set up downstairs (I love my pnp). Then we do some lotion (right now it's Grins and Giggles) with a nice massage, and get dressed for the day. Then DD sits in the bouncy while I do DS. DS gets lotion and then cortisone cream on his forehead, and a nice new outfit. The entire operation takes about 15 minutes. Then they get their playtime before their morning nap. I typically do baths every other day, but sometimes every day if we have had a puking incident (which happens quite oftern around here).
