Do everyone's babies pee as soon as you put them in the tub or is it just mine? Do you run new water or just use the water you've got?

This has only happened a couple of times to me, but I run new water, because if it were me (which I hope I wouldn't pee in the bathtub  ) I wouldn't want to sit in it. I wouldn't feel clean.

BTW, I do run new water, but it happens EVERY time with BOTH girls, so I am running water 4 times for 2 baths and have cold, dripping babies while running the new water. Just wondering how everyone else handles it and if it happens that often for anyone else.

It's only happened a couple times. And I have never ran new water...
I don't think it's really that big of a deal- especially considering the minimal amount of pee that actually comes out of a baby. It's not worth the time or effort for me.

I don't think I would have known if they did, because our tub was dark blue, so it would have been impossible to see!

I only know because I don't fill the tub that full and it actually arcs up a little. If the tub were fuller, I wouldn't see it.

DS does this EVERY single time, must be something about the water. I don't change the water but I do try to 'catch' it in the washcloth and then rinse out the washcloth really well before I put the soap on and use it. I figure though that urine is sterile so it's really no big deal.

Everytime!! And I dont change the water, pee is sterile. My girls bathe in the big tub anyway so I figure the ratio of pee to water is miniscule.

My boys do it too. I have never changed the water. Like pp said it's sterile. I even bath them in the same bath water.

Same thing with my boys when they were little! They each got fresh water for their baths, but I never changed the water for a pee. Now they bath together in the tub, and I really don't know if they pee! They are as happy and healthy as can be so I really don't think it's a big deal.

DS does this everytime! We leave the water running and just rinse real quick.

I don't change the water either. Frequently, the pee shoots out of the tub and gets on my kitchen counter - lovely!

My DS does it every time so I bring an extra wash cloth to keep over it so it does not shoot me in the face. LOL I am sure DD does too but I have only seen her do it once and caught it real quick with a washcloth. I also do not change the water.
