Bathroom every hour?

[SIZE=10pt]Okay...I'm a little over 33 weeks. TMI.....within the last few days I've been noticing that I am having a BM about once an hour while I'm awake. Is this normal? Of course I've been using the restroom quite frequently up until now..but now having BM's that often. Not sure if I should call the OB or not. I have an NST on Wed. and go to my OB on Friday.

I had diarrhea(sorry!) for the last month of the pregnancy, starting right around 33 weeks. I would mention it to your ob, and also drink more fluids to replace what you are...losing! Once an hour sounds like a lot though....you might call the nurse and see what she recommends.

 

I'm so sorry!!! I hope it isn't making the hemorrhoids flare up. It won't hurt to call the dr and tell them.

 

i would call the ob and let them know - that sounds like alot to me...def. try to drink more so you dont get dehydrated - could you have a stomach virus?

 

The same thing happens to me. At the risk of TMI... For me it's not diarrhea, just small loose BM's. My OB told me it's because of the weight of everything pressing on the bowels. I do try to drink a lot of fluids and also use flushable wipes which makes the whole thing a lot easier. As well, my prenatals have a mild stool softener in them so that may be impacting. Definitely mention it to your doctor though. I felt a lot better when they told me it was normal and that I was just lucky it was going this way instead of constipation.

 

I would def call to get checked or watch for cramping or contrax. The day I went into labor with M&M I was having the same issues. But I just felt like something wasn't right either though.

That does sound like a lot. I would probably call, just to be on the safe side....

But, I know that BM's can be weird toward the end....I am going at least 3 or 4 times a day these days, which is definitely not my usual habit! (Gotta love the stuff we can discuss during pregnancy, LOL.)
