What age did you feel comfortable bathing your babies at the same time solo? I thought about doing it last week (they're nine months) but when it came right down to it I didn't feel safe doing it, so I had my older daughter come in and stand watching the baby in the tub while I was dressing/undressing the other. Our bathroom is small so I have to turn my back completely to do clothing changes. I don't use bath seats. Now I'm thinking it might actually be a long time still before I can do two at once. What did you do?

I started bathing mine together by myself with bath seats at around 6 months old, and without the bath seats at around 9-10 months old.

The first couple of times I was nervous but after we got a good system down everything worked great! I wanted to make sure the bathtub was as safe as possible, so I bought a bath bumper, like this one, a spout cover and a bath mat that covered the entire bottom of the tub so it would lessen the chance of falls.

Our Bathtime routine goes something like this: I put them both in the tub, wash them, wash their hair, let them play, open the drain take one out dry her off and then take the other one out and dry her off. Then I take them both in their bedroom and diaper and clothe them. We have never had any problems. Good Luck!!

we started bathing them together when they were able to sit up alone. since then, i have bath duty alone most of the time. when i have to leave the bathroom to take one to their bedroom, i get my older daughter to watch the one that is still in the tub.

I started when they were about 8 months in this tub (without the fountain thing) and they couldn't fall over as easily. About a month or two later, I moved them into the big tub with a bath mat. They did much better than I expected. I had (and still do) the same routine as Kyrstyn.

I still use the inflatable duck tub inside of my big tub, although it's starting to get a little crowded with so many kicking feet. I bring them both into the bathroom and lay them on the floor on a large towel with special bathroom-only toys to keep them occupied while I strip them both down. I make sure the tub is already filled and everything else is in place before I even bring them in there because that's the last place I want them exploring! I wash them both and then let them play for a bit. then I take them both out, lay them on the big towel again with a little towel for each (they like drying themselves off in all those towels), and get diapers on as soon as I can get them both dry. Then I scoop them both up and take them into the bedroom to get them dressed. It's really not that bad. I've been doing it solo ever since I got that tub (about 3 months).

I've been bathing mine together since they could sit up. First I put them both in one of those little baby bathtubs, then they graduated to the big bathtub when they ran out of room. They LOVE bathtime though so I think it makes it easier. We've had quite a few falls and swallowed quite a bit of bathwater, but all is well. Our routine is pretty much like Kyrstyn's. It might not be as bad as you think once you try it. GL :)

I've been bathing both of mine together since they were about 4.5 months old. At first I just laid a big towel in the bottom of the tub, now I use a big piece of foam (I bought it at the fabric store). I think one thing that helps is our bathroom has a good amount of floor space, wide enough to lay an adult sized bath towel out width wise, and they can both fit on that side by side.

    Here's the procedure:

-Start the space heater to get the bathroom super warm
-Lay down 2 layers of towels on the floor (one big bath towel and two smaller baby towels--one for each kid)
-Lay a towel/foam in the bathtub
-Fill the tub with an inch of warmish water
-Babies clothes and diapers come off
-Babies go in side by side
-Add more water until it's the right level
    -Washing commences
-A good rinse with the handheld shower head, as the tub is draining
-Once tub is empty, babies are whisked out one at a time and wrapped in towels
-Lotion, nudie tummy time, diapers and PJs on

I just started bathing mine together this week. Mine haven't been the strongest about sitting up and was afraid of one falling over. It's been great though and I like all hte interaction has been wonderful.
