I'm currently bathing them separately in a small infant tub on my kitchen counter....but I think they are getting too active to be there.

would you bathe them at this age in the big tub, and would you bathe them together? Also, what could I use to help hold them in place? Any ideas (and links or pics) would be appreciated! thanks!

Are they able to sit on their own yet? If so I have a bath seat similar to This bath seat. I havent tried it out yet because mine are still unable to sit on their own. There is also This one

Thanks for the links - but I'm a bit confused about it all. Do those seats sit on the floor of the tub? or do they sort of float? Also, about the one that you have, where do the feet go?

The do sit on their own, but not well enough that I would leave them alone on the floor and walk away.

I have the tub side attachment and it is attached by the arm that goes over the tub side and wall. Its pretty secure and my guys are standing and walking now. I also have one like the other pictured in the pp, and it attaches by suction cups on the bottom. They just need to be watched very carefully when using the seats. But they work great for us! Good luck! :good:

The one I have has suction cups on the bottom that attach to to bottom of the tub The white front part with the 'toys' on it has two openings the feet go through those and the babies back goes towards the blue part. Gosh I hope that makes sense.

The other one I believe hangs on the side of the tub and baby sits in it but you have to fill the tub up more I believe because it doesn't actually sit on the bottom of the tub. I dont know much about it I just figured I would add the link since I had seen that one also when looking for a bath seat for my twins.

When my daughter was a baby -- and outgrew the seat in the sink -- we used the inflatable duck tub inside the regular tub, to help contain her a little more. It worked really well, but I rarely filled it with water -- I usually just washed her with the hand shower.

You could probably fit two kiddos in it for awhile...

We have used these in the bathtub. They would hold themselves up, or you could prop them up in them with a towel. Now since they are 9mo, and sitting by themselves they are great! they suction to the bottom of the tub. To clean their bottoms I just hold them up to clean. there is plenty of room for them to grow too.

This picture shows them before they could sit up exclusively by themselves.

Before I had the seats, I put a non-skid mat in the bottom of the tub, filled it just with a little water (just to cover the mat and so they would get their heads in it) and they layed in the tub on their tummies. they had a blast because they could splash the water!! It worked out really well.

I just put about an inch of water in the bottom, and lay them in with their heads side by side, one with the legs to the right and one to the left. That way its easy to keep on eye on them. When they come out, I wrap the first in a towel and lay her on the floor, and then the other. Then pick them both up. YKWIM

I started bathing them in the tub, one at a time, sitting in a Safety 1st bath seat I bought at Walmart (they also had them at BRU). We did this until they started sitting on their own, so maybe for 2 months tops. Now we bathe them together in the tub, although once in a great while either DH or I manage to do it solo. It's hard to do solo though, they are so squirmy!

I've been bathing them in the big tub for 2 months now, together at the same time. Here is what I do:

I lay a towel down in the tub and fill the tub up about an inch to warm everything up. Then as I undress them (I lay them next to each other on more towels on the floor right next to the tub) I drain the tub. I keep the water running at a slow rate. I put each baby in the tub while no water is in it (just pouring in and draining right out) - I LAY them on the towel. They love to watch the water come out of the faucet. I give them each a little wash cloth and they like to hold it and suck on it while watching the water. I close the drain and let the water fill up until it's almost at their ears, then I drain it, and repeat. I do this while I wash their bodies. Then I drain it one last time, turn off the water, pull them both out on to the dry towels and put a towel over one while I dry the other. I take turns drying them so they're both done almost at the same time since they hate getting their diapers on and usually start to fuss when it's time to get dressed.

The whole system is really easy (complicated to explain though) and works great. They love it. Even though they are starting to sit up on their own I doubt they'll want to in the bath, it's so relaxing for them, it's a great preparation for bed time. They look forward to it, get happy everytime we do into the bathroom!
