How often are you all bathing your twins?? I know you shouldn't bathe them every day because it can dry out their skin?? thanks!

With our first DS, we did it just about every night (w/ lots of lotion after). With the twins, it turned out to be every 3 nights (if we can, we do every other night)....but there's always a time crunch. ;-)

At that age I bathed them 2-3 times a week unless they did something that caused them to need a bath. HTH!

We did sponge baths about 3-4 times a week at that age.

At that age we also did baths about 3 times/week. They hated their baths then, we didn't go anywhere b/c it was the middle of winter, and had very few visitors b/c of it being cold/flu season - so I didn't worry too much about germs - so we had no desire/need to bathe them more! :)

At 7 months we do them every night - they LOVE bath time so much and it helps us get through the fussy time around 5:00ish when its too early to go to bed, but too late to take a nap. They don't nap well and need a distraction when 5:00 rolls around, and the baths are perfect for that!

We have done every other day from the beginning. Most of the time they aren't dirty at all, but it makes me feel better to think I got some of the germs off, not to mention the left over spit up, and a good soaking for their diaper area.

Jack has/had really bad eczema and our pedi told us that most people bathe babies too much and it's not that good for them. She said we should bathe them once a week max. So that's what we did in the beginning. We did wash their parts a few times a week with a cloth but once a week for major bathing. Now we usually do twice a week.

We started doing it every night around 7-8 wks or so, just to get a bedtime routine down. Now we pretty much have to do it every night. My son is covered in spitup by the time the day is over, and his skin always feels all clammy like he's just had a huge workout. The only time he seems clean and comfortable to me is after his bath until his first feeding the next morning. I attempt to dress him every morning, but we usually do away with the clothes by 9 am and he's in a diaper the rest of the day. My daughter stays much cleaner during the day, but we just give her one anyway to keep up with the routine. Haven't noticed any issues with dryness or irritation.

Actually, if you check out his picture below you can see the dark ring under his neck - that's not part of the shirt! I'm sure he was undressed the rest of the day after this was taken...

At first we were doing it about twice a week. After a while we started doing it about every other day and at 4 months we started doing it every day. Now it is part of our "winding down" in the evenings. HTH!!

At 3 weeks I think I just did quick wsh cloth baths every other day and a real bath once a week... As they got older I increased to 2-3 times per week, and now that they are on solids I give them baths daily... They get sooo dirty now... When they are really little you are cleaning the dirtiest parts about 10 times a day anyway so once a week is enough!

At that age, only about once a week, but now, sometimes twice a day!!! At least once a day. My boys like to get their whole bodies involved in eating solids, and I like to feed them colorful foods. ;)

Up to about 2.5months it was only once/week. But we would wipe them down everyday. Ever since about 2.5months we do it everyday, as they really like their baths and it helps get us thro some fussy time in the evening.

Right at 3-4 weeks I did it every day… I had to make it part of my schedule… I’m curious if people do it more at night then morning, as I still do it in the am since everyone has energy and is happy… cant see finding a slot in the pm right now and with my older sons soccer starting… god these babies will be lucky to get fed on time

ps we have had no "dry skin" issues

When they were little, every other day or every three days. I made sure I wiped them down good every night and put lotion on them though. Natalie used to get milk under her chin so I would wipe that very often throughout the day so she would not get a rash. Now I bathe them every other night, sometimes every night if they are dirty or eat something messy for dinner.

At your babies' age we only bathed them about once a week, 2 x a week max. Now their bath is part of their bedtime routine so they get one every night :D

When they were little we were good about doing it every other day. Now that they are older and fussier at night, we've been going every other day or every 3rd day. I basically give them a washrag bath after every meal since it's everywhere.

With all of my kids I did every other day or 2-3 times a wk. Depending on if they spit up a lot etc.
My 5 yr old has eczema and I noticed that from only a couple of wks old so I bathed him as little as possibly and would maybe only wipe him down with a warm washcloth as needed when I didn't bathe him.

At that age every 2-3 days unless they needed it sooner (big stinky diaper, etc).

Us too.. When they were young, it was just every few days. It wasn't that they didn't like it, It was a hard job and they just weren't getting that dirty.

Now that they are 8 months, It's into the tub everynight... They sit up well and love it in the big tub. And I usually do them at the same time.

I give my girls a bath every other day. On the days they don't get a bath I still wash their faces, hands, and feet with a warm facecloth in the morning.

Until they were about 4 months old, we shot for every third night; but if things got really crazy, we'd let them go one more day. They didn't enjoy baths very much until recently; so it was a bit of a chore. The last month or so has brought us prolific drool, constant hand-sucking, dried solid foods, and more exciting spit up (related to solid foods)--so we are now bathing them every other day and frequently giving them a good wiping down, just with a damp washcloth, on the day in between since I don't find sticky babies nearly as cuddly :).

They are also enjoying their baths a lot more; so it's a fun "activity" for us in the evening that often gets us through the cranky spell at the end of the day. Though since they aren't sitting up quite yet, the actual logistics of the bath have become more challenging.

I have always done every other night (sometimes every third night if something comes up, but thats rare). As newborns my babies were so oily....after a day or two they needed a good bath. And now they are just messy and food gets everywhere, so my bath schedule has always stayed the same no matter their age!

I go every 3 days. They tend to get pretty smelly by then, but their scalps are both so dry & scaly. I hate to wash them more often than that. Sometimes a do a full body wash with a baby wipe just to make them smell better!!
