Bath time troubles

We love our bath time!!! After we eat I say, "whose ready to take a bath?, and they get so excited. I draw the bath after ensuring I have their towels and toys ready. Our biggest problem is safety. They are at the stage where they want to stand up by on their own. This is great normally, but NOT in the bath tub. I bought a mat to prevent slips. Still, they try to stand and then plop down on their own almost falling or slip to the side. I'm so afraid they are going to really hurt themselves or each other. we have had a couple of small accidents. They think it is so much fun, but I am stressing about someone getting hurt. I've seen the chairs/seats for the bath tub, but they may be too big for these. I need some advice on what others are doing.

We still use the bath rings. My boys do not have the best balance so doing it by myslef with both of them in there at this time without the rings wont work.
Here is a picture of them in their rings

I'm not sure how old your twins are or how large but we used a large inflatable tub that fit snugly inside of the large tub. I bathed both of them in it and then individually when they got bigger so we actually used it for quite a long time. I thought it provided some measure of protection.

I should have checked the link before posting. This one should work.

I know most folks are adamant about "we sit in the tub". I did continually remind the boys that we sit in the tub, but you just go blue in the face at that age about it. They have a new skill and keeping them from using it fruitless. I just stayed right next to them every second. Yes, we did have a couple of slips, but I was right there and it was no big deal. About a month after they started walking it seemed to dissapate and they now happily sit in the tub.

I say if you are in the "no ifs, ands, or buts, we-sit-in-the-tub" camp, get yourselves a set of bath rings until they outgrow it. If not, stay close and expect a bruise or two. ;)

    Happy Splashing!

We've had a few slips & falls in the tub......and it is almost impossible to keep them from standing. LOL.....not almost impossible, it just is! So I got some of those stick on fish to give some "traction" and one of those rubber duck faucet covers. And I sit right there while they take their bath. I do remind them to sit when they stand up & sometimes they listen, sometimes they don't.

Where did you get this from? I never thought about that.
