We have no room for a crib in our room but would like the babies to both be together in our room for a while. I have a bassinet but fear it's just not big enough for two to share. What are other options? How did you fit both together in your room without a crib?

    Thanks so much,
    Lanie

We used the pack-n-play at first and just put the bassinet option on it.

Our room is tiny as well, we were able to fit the pack and play between the bed and the closet (without an inch to spare), and plan on using that in the beginning but I have the feeling the babies will be in their nursery before too long (it's right across the hall).

We had two bassinets! One for each side of the bed. That way, DH and I could each be in charge of one baby throughout the night. It worked out really well, and although I was sad that they would not be sleeping next to each other, it was worth it in those first few weeks when we were all so sleep deprived as it was.

Yep.. altho we have room for a crib in our room, we are still buying a pack n play for the living room for extra sleeping :)

we're getting the co-sleeper i read it holds up to 30lb, where the pack n play only holds up to 15 (if i'm wrong, someone let me know! )

We used a wood Cradle till they were 4m old.

Both babies were in our co-sleeper until last week. It worked great for us. It's very compact, but fits two little ones just fine. They were just starting to get a little big for it---but we were ready to move them to their room by that point anyway. Good luck!

Not sure what a pack n play is, but we are using a cot with one baby at each end. This has been OK'd by the hospital, it was actually suggested by a midwife from the hospital.

Thank you! Those suggestions all help soo much. I will look into our pack N play bassinet and the co-sleepers. I would love for them to stay together (sleep in the same bed) instead of two bassinets but we'll see.

We have the same problem! We recently sold our house and bought a 2 family (just before I got pregnant)... To make a long story short we now have a 2 bedroom apartment in the 2 family we bought. To complicate matters they are on opposite ends of the house so our 3 year old daughter wont sleep in her room so her bed is squeezed into ours!!! So, our plan is that we are going to use the Origional Arm's Reach CoSleeper. It holds up to 30 lbs in the bassinet part and converts to a play yard when they outgrow the bassinet! They are pretty expensive at Babies R Us or Target so we got ours on eBay for about 50-60 less than the retail cost. Just make sure you get the Origional CoSleeper and not the Mini because the mini is too small for 2 babies.

Yes, this is what we used. They both fit in one bassinette to start and then when they grew a little, we moved them to their own side.

we have NO room in our bedroom for them - not even for a small basinette or pack 'n play or anything. Our room literally hold our beds and two small nightstands - that's it. So they won't be in our room. But their room is right next to ours, so I feel ok with that.
