    Hi everyone,
I didn't get the Graco twin pack n play with the 2 bassinets on top like I registered for at my baby shower, which has me questioning whether I want to spring for one of these myself. Did any of you use this option? Is it better to get 2 bassinets? Or is there some other option that you favored? Thanks for the advice! :D

we never used the bassinet option for our last baby and instead just used the raised top of the pack n play with a sleep positioner. For our twins we are gonna try to do this in the same pack n play and only buy a second one if it does not work or if they are unable to sleep together for some reason. I do know that you cannot use the basinette part for too long depending on the babies size, so maybe if you really want to use a bassinette then separate ones would be better :)

    Hey Angel!

Here's my 2 cents on the bassinet situation (there are sooo many different options out there!).

I originally wanted the twin pack & play that you were talking about & I ended up being so glad that I didn't get it. I instead got 2 of THESE which I love love love, up until now (about 7 months).
They are smaller than the 'regular' pack & play's by quite a bit. For the first few months both girls slept together in the bassinet part of one & It worked so GREAT :) We kept one up in our room & one downstairs in our family room.
Once we transitioned them to their cribs at around 2 months we stopped using them entirely until about 5 months. Now when we spend the night at someones house we bring both of them & each baby sleeps in the bottom part of their own pack & play & it is awesome BUT at almost 7 months old they are rapidly outgrowing it. They won't be able to sleep in there for much longer cause they will be too long. It will be good for playing when they are sitting up but otherwise I can't see me getting too much more use out of them.

I guess maybe now I would have preferred to get one big pack & play (or better yet, 2!).

Hope this helps a little :)

I had2 bassinettes and they did not work for us at all. DD hated it, she wanted to be near her brother and the bassinettes were not big enough for 2. I would recommend the pack n play with bassinette. This way they can be together if they want, or you can have some space between them. Also, you will be able to use it elsewhere if you got out

Hey Angel! I heard not so great things about the twin PNP. I mostly heard that the babies tend to roll to the middle. Anyway, we are planning on keeping them both in the bassinet piece of our regular PNP until they are 15 pounds combined. We are also going to set up our regular bassinet that we used with our son, just in case they do better off separatly or for after they hit the 15 pound limit. We also bought another regular PNP that we are going to keep downstairs for diaper changes and naps. We mostly bought it because we travel alot and they will both need their own PNP until they are at least 2 years old to sleep in at grandma's house!

my opinion, twin bassinets are a waste of money with twins. I don't know who else feels this way, but you will be able to use it for two seconds and then you will be out of it. They are small. Just use a pack and play with the option to have them lay on the mesh top (not sure what that is called). That is what we used and by three months they had outgrown that. The twin bassinet PNP is even smaller. :)

    Congrats on your twins!!

I put both babies in one full size crib next to my bed when they came home. They stayed there until they were six months old.

We went with the two pnps option and kept the girls together in one bassinet until they reached 15 lbs combined and then put them in the separate bassinet portions. You can usually find pnps used at your local twins club garage sale or on craigslist so you can save a lot of money versus getting one twin pnp.

My girls slept in their pnps until 10 months old and then we still used them on trips until 2 years old so we got tons of use out of them.
