1 How many days should I use the bare bottom method before putting underwear on the girls?
    2. should i put panties or training panties on them? (previously using gerber training panties)
    3. what do i put on them for naps? (right now using diapers)

I didn't do the bare bottom method because I don't like to start things I know I am going to want to stop, not too many adults out there with bare bottoms. We went right from diapers to regular underwear in the daytime, stayed with diapers at nap and bedtime until they went two weeks completely dry for both then they wore underpants to bed too. Pullups didn't hold enough for our overnights and were much more expensive comparitively.

Thanks for pointhing that out. modesty is important to me. I have put undies on both of them today. and either today is a "good day" or the bare bottom method helped. doing it for a couple of days really helped.

I think another advantage to wearing underpants is they can feel the difference between wet pants and dry pants. Bottomless, it all just flows away with no discomfort.

I just rinsed them and tossed them in the tub. The first day, I washed about 20 pairs at the end of the day. By 3 days later, it was only 6 or so pairs. They weren't completely trained in those few days, but it was very close. They were 2 1/2 then.

I kept using pull-up style pants for nap & bedtime -- we even called them night-night pants. When Ella still wasn't finished training the week before pre-school started, DH stayed home with just her for potty training boot camp -- the lots of drinks, lots of trips methods. He decided after that to ditch the pull-ups, said they knew they had a back-up plan. One or the other would wet the bed about every week, but that was it. Since age three, 3 1/2 months later, they've not wet the bed at all.
