I came in to post this and saw the band-aid obsession thread. Anyway, L&M are terrified of band-aids. I even bought the cute little strawberry shortcakes that look like tattoos. They FURHEAK out if I try to put one on them. Lauren had a nasty cut on her hand that took forever to heal and I thought would become infected because she wouldn't keep the band-aid on it. Do I have the only kids that hate them??

Nope, you aren't the only one. I thought they'd LOVE band aids and Tony is terrified of them. :pardon: Odd. And I'm not sure what scares him of having it stuck to him. Angie will keep it on only for a bit after she gets a cut... which is an improvement from a few months ago. I think someone (HRE??) told me that around 3 they start liking them, I'm still waiting. :umm:

I posted in the other thread that I have some freaky kids too. They have always hated bandaids and would pull the ones the doctor gives after shots off on the way home from a very young age. I use the paint-on kind instead.

My kids hated bandages until very recently. Only since turning 3 will they actually allow me to put one on; which is generally removed out of the sheer fascination of the peeling process within minutes.

Mine hate them too. And whatever body part has a bandaid is 1)unuseable and 2) has to be hidden from the world. K scraped her knee last week and she refused to walk and insisted on wearing long pants. You'd have thought her leg had been amputated.

Mine hate them too. I don't understand it though because they LOVE stickers and putting stickers all over themselves.

Nope, neither of the boys will wear them. But that doesnt stop me from sneaking in their rooms in the middle of the night with a tube of Neosporin and a Band-Aid :spy:. They usually freak out in the morning when they realize its there and I rip it off, but if the area is covered by clothes, they dont notice. :pardon:
