I always mashed half a banana for the babies & ate the other half myself. Bananas can be frozen if you like to make banana bread or something. They get a bit watery so I don't think they would be great for feeding to the little ones but they are great for cooking!

I used to just cut whatever size piece I wanted from the banana before peeling it. That way the skin keeps the remainder fresh (just cover the cut end in plastic wrap).

i've never mashed my banana's just cut them in small pieces for them, they dont last very long after you peel them, turn brown within a day....even in a plastic wrap...

I cut the banana in half and use one half. I refrigerate the other half (still in the peel) and use it the next day. If I liked bananas, then I would eat the other half.

Brown bananas won't hurt anyone; it's just cosmetic! If it bothers you, you can throw some lemon juice in there to retard the browning process. I store mashed banana for up to 3 days. Anything past that gets watery and gross.

Bananacado yogurt is still my boys favorite dessert!

My girls can now split a banana between them with no problem, but before they could, I would buy mini-bananas. They were a little bit more expensive, but I never had any waste. My girls loved them. There came a point when they wanted more so that's when I started buying regular bananas. My 4 yr old niece would come over and eat them because they were so cute!
