the twins had their blood drawn today for many tests, including celiac and crohns (and a few I didn't understand). What a nightmare. THey could only get one vial out of Jack - after many attempts. So he will only get tested for celiac. Max was freaking out from waiting and hearign his brother cry - but they did get 3 vials for him.

I can't imagine doing this again at an allergists!! their veins are so tiny!

I'm sorry :( Ainsley has to get a blood draw every three months for her thyroid. It never really gets easier. I just have to hold her down so she doesn't thrash around too much. The only good part is that they give her stickers when she's done, and she likes that part.

    I'm sorry Meredith.

I can't IMAGINE keeping my boys still long enough to actually do that...WITHOUT a needle involved.

Big hug...I hope you get the answers you need soon. :hug99:

Was Jack dehydrated? My son has food allergies and has had lots of blood drawn. Hydrating really seems to help. Hang in there!

We had blood drawn once, and it was horrible. The lab messed up on the sample for one of my boys. I did not want to take him back to have it done again. Luckily the pedi said that the only test they had left to run was for lead, and figured that if his twin was okay, than so we he so we did not have to go back for another draw.

I am sorry that things were rough for you guys.
