For about the last week, I've been having these terrible dreams of bad things happening to the babies. For example...them falling out of their swing or toppling over in their bouncy seats, etc. Last night I had a dream that we went on a cruise to Mexico and I accidentally left them at home alone and realized it when the ship left. I wake up in a total panic....it's a terrible way to wake up! Does anyone else have these or am I just crazy?

I did have those dreams on occasion, but my DH had them FAR worse! He would wake with a jolt reaching for his nightstand saying "The babies will fall off, the babies will fall off!"

Personally, I think while it's upsetting, it's a lovely reflection of your protective nature! :)

Wishing you some peaceful sleep soon!

Dh and I both had them A LOT when the girls were younger. I now have them every once and they are still disturbing. Its your brain processing all the new responsibilities you have!

I would have dreams about one of them being sick, even though he showed no symptoms the drs. told us he had a short time to live. Since that dream I never say anymore, "I can't wait when....."
That dream taught me to love each moment instead of waiting for the next. This was before they were 6 weeks, I was always saying, "I can't wait till they are 6 weeks." . You know thats the magical age, right, when everything gets better!!!! Anyway, I learned to treasure each moment, even the bad ones.

One night I had such a vivid dream about Parker drowning in the bathtub. It was so horrible and I had the image in my head for days afterward. I was so afraid to give him a bath! Luckily, the memory of the dream has faded, but boy...dreams can be powerful!!

How strange that you post this today: last night I had a dream that my DH, myself, and a couple friends from out of town (who are visiting currently) left the babies and went touring in downtown DC - and we were on somesort of tour that I couldn't get off of when I realized we had left the babies home alone!

So, if you are crazy, so am I!

OMG, me too! I have been TORMENTED by these kinds of dreams. I've had countless dreams about leaving the house, then realizing I've left the babies home alone, and desperately trying to get back, and waking up in a panic.

But maybe it's starting to get better... I had a dream that started like that, but then changed. I dreamed that I went to the beach for a long walk, but just as I started wondering, "Wait a minute, did I leave the babies home alone?" I realized they were with me, and we were all having a wonderful time, and I'd nurse them in the car and then let them have a snack in their carseats on the way home - and everything was nice and happy and peaceful.

So maybe in time your unconscious will stop freaking out? I hope so. :hug99:

My boyfiend will do the same exact thing!!! He did it when they were smaller mainly but recently, he was in the bed. I was in the bed on the laptop, the twins were asleep in their room and I accidentallly dropped a book and he jumped up so quick and took a deep breath, and was like " who was it?" i was like "who was what?" he said who just fell pick them up. I just looked at him and he went back to sleep.
