Well, I went to my appt yesterday, already upset that I had to take my 1-hour glucose (only because that was the test I had taken the morning I lost the twins) and they made me take it. I am in terrible pain in my lower back and it radiates down my left leg. The doctor I was supposed to see had to leave to do a delivery, so I refused to leave until I had my appt. They put me in with my original OB (whom I love to death) and she did an internal check of my cerclage, then a vag u/s to measure my CL. still 2.5 but funneling now. Then she decided she needed to do a FFN. She is calling my peri today to start 17P shots. and wants me on bedrest until things stabilize. So, Im at work today, getting things organized for my boss to be able to find things in my office and pack up the stuff I need to do work from home.
Please keep me in your prayers.

Wow, I am so praying for you right now. I do hope that everything goes well for you. The pain though sounds like the siodic (sp?) nerve pain.

There is a teacher I just got done working with that has a clerage also. When she got it a few weeks ago, she was already starting to dialate. She has been on bedrest since, and all is going well so far. I do hope for the same with you, and that the bedrest will do a lot of help.

Thoughts and prayers are with you.

I will keep you in my prayers! I had 3 FFN's done with Molly and each time they came back saying I could give birth within 2 weeks, it turns out each were wrong and she stayed until she was forced out. I will pray that your little bug stays in too.

I ordered them from a pharmacy in Hialeah, FL, it's one of the only pharmacies in the US and it's here in FL, When you speak to them just tell them that you need it expedited. For me it cost about $95.00, my ins. didn't cover it. My SIL does them for me b/c they are IM, but they are pretty easy to do just pinch and shot. Let me know if you need anything.

Take care of yourself and try to rest as much as possible. Did you get the results of the FFN back?

When I have had FFN tests, they had the answer with in an hour (usually way less than an hour)

Have you called to see if they have the results. I know with the holiday weekend, you'd prefer to know.

    Keep us updated.

Hope things are doing better now that you are taking the shots! :hug99:

Mind if I ask waht a FFN and 17P shots are? I have never heard eith of those terms before. I am having to give myself Lovenox shots everyday (for previous blood clots after knee surgery) and that is not fun, but it's I'll do anything to keep me and Megan healthy!! If you have had a previous c-section, try to go as close to that scar (without being in the scar area) as possible...even 4 years later after I had Grant, I am still slightly numb there and it makes the shots easier to tolerate!

:hug99: I will be praying for you!

FFN is a swab test that is supposed to tell (not alwasy accurate) if your going to deliver within the next two weeks.
17P shots are a progesterone shot given once a week that is supposed to reduce preterm labor and help strengthen your cervix.
